Life Is Strange

Ok, seriously, what is the appeal?
I just played through the first episode, and the entire thing was just a bunch of boring dumb shit.
>Oh this guy is RICH and a JERK
>Oh this girl is HIPSTER and a STONER
>Oh and other girl is MEAN and POPULAR
>Main girl is SHY and RESERVED
I mean, do people actually like this? I have never once wondered what the lives of rich hipsters who go to art school entail, and I don't want to know. The superpower thing is gay as well, and I'm guessing it's never explained. This is like some dumb netflix original that 15-25 year old girls would dig, but instead most of the fanbase is actually men?
I don't want to let the glitches that I came across change my opinion (like how the very end sequence that was definitely supposed to be the dramatic height of the episode had no voice audio for some reason, replaced by the third stupid hipster song of the episode) so instead, I'll just say that the gameplay as a whole is terrible. In fact, I see no reason to pay for the other episodes when I could get the SAME experience from just watching someone's no commentary let's play on youtube.
I had two reasons for playing this:
>The high praise it receives everytime it's mentioned
>It takes place in the Cascadia Region, which is where I'd love to live, if it isn't as full of hipsters as every piece of media that takes place there makes it seem

tldr: Life is Strange is pretty unimpressive so far. I want to finish it out (probably just watch it on youtube) just so I can be completely thorough in my case and hate it fairly.

The only way I got thru it was me and a friend played it. We pretended that hr power was like Chris-Chans curse hami ha or whatever

Seems like the only way to make it entertaining honestly. Too bad I don't have friends though.

Honestly I only got about an hour or two in before I dropped it. I also wasn't invested in the plot at all and, as someone who absolutely loves choose your own adventure type games, I found this an absolute insult to the genre because of the whole 'turn back time so you don't have to face the consequences of your own decisions' superpower. Where's the fun if you can go back any time and redo any decision? Besides which, it becomes very repetitive very quickly.

If any of you lot are fellow choose your own adventure fans, I highly recommend the text based games available on the Choice of Games site. Any of them will probably be ten times better than this trite, but I personally recommend either the Midsummer's Night Dream pisstake or Fool.

the story gets interesting later and the twist at the end is really good. it's a shame there is no actual gameplay.

life is cringe and full of rule 34

Wait a second, is this just considered good by a mass of redditors leaving positive reviews? I thought I'd face some opposition, but everyone seems to agree.

Yeah it sucks for the most part, just a slightly worse than average telltale game with annoying characters, theres a youtuber called E;R with a good video on how stupid it is

Like many things that are shit but overrated, it's because of fucking loser waifu fags. They like the girls so the game is good or so they say.

This character has got to have the dumbest fucking hair in all video games. It looks so fucking stupid both in game and cosplay attempts.
