I understand how life works pretty decently and I understand how the system is intended to run. If you have money you basically get to live life on no clip. You can do what you want. The problem is that those some people have invested interest to keep their wealth which means making it near impossible for other people to join them. They make sure that any tactic that could be used to become wealthy is illegal unless you already have a shit-ton of money.

There's a body cam video out there of a cop going to stop some dude from committing suicide. Reddit is a perfectly fine website that has practical applications (in a lot of ways more practical than this site.) If I have a problem I can easily go to a whole subreddit dedicated to the problem and ask an expert for a solution. Forums have been around since the internet has been a thing, reddit is just the new age of forums. Instead of having to go to this forum or that forum it's all connected and easy to navigate.

Also, people are idiots, so it works sometimes. I saw an episode of "COPS" years ago where a guy said he was going to stab himself, but the cups drew their guns on him and told him to put the knife down. Then, the guy actually dropped the knife and they arrested him.
