Clearly there is an issue with your judgement when that is happening.
Other times we're making a mountain out of a molehill, like that one time I had a panic attack over the thought of losing my eysight to myopia when corrective surgeries are a thing.
My advice is to evaluate your reasons for feeling bad and also made good friends so you can substitute your judgement for theirs when yours is compromised.
