It's a mix of evolutionary and societal factors. Women generally do find larger men more attractive. This can't be changed but by itself isn't enough to make being a manlet as terrible as it is today. The biggest factor is the social norm. A man is expected to be taller than the woman and this image is pushed into every form of media that exists. Men are always big and strong, women are always small and weak. Tall stature is used to signify strenght, integrity, leadership and power in media. Short stature is used to signify weakness, submissiveness, and even evil in media. The scarcity of exceptions is caused by the stigma of a woman "settling" for a man who is of the same height or shorter. Women are not only biologically predisposed to wanting a taller man, they're pushed into wanting it by all the entertainment they consume which is the greater of the two factors in my opinion.

That's wrong because it's not the size of the father that determines the size of the baby, it's the size of the mother. True that a bigger woman could have a bigger baby, but a smaller woman wouldn't end up with a bigger baby anyway. I honestly think it is completely up in the air and a 50/50 chance. First of all you have the layer of having to approach a girl in the first place which can be nothing short of daunting. The you have the added complexity and nuance of her being taller than you and all the social norms that accompany it. If I am not confident in talking to regular girls, trying to go up to taller girls is a fucking nightmare but I want to hold a tall girl so badly.
They will either be kept humbled due to being made fun of their whole lives and are more open to dating different kind of guys or you get the super confident ones who own up to their looks and therefore don't even acknowledge your existence.
