You are really doing yourself a disservice by not playing the games, at least the original trilogy.
Besides the good characters and dialogue case solving is just plain fun; Danganronpa is also similar in vein with gameplay but a different beast entirely, still good
And yeah, online is a lot easier because you basically have evidence staring right at you that they willingly gave up.

yeah the anime. Also the ace attorney games were never really my game style I prefer rts games really. Nor am I that knowledge about them even. Where can I get them? And for pc?
It's fun to question people about stuff too but it makes me judge them afterwards based off of what they said so sometimes it's not fun to do.

Gameplay is seperated into two major sections: courtroom and investigation.
During the courtroom sections you cross examine people's testimony to find the contradiction and
object with the right piece of evidence that showcases the lie or inconsistency.
During investigation segments you run around collecting evidence and talking to people learning more about the case.
And it's all presented in a VN style.
Personally I'm a purist so while the original trilogy is on steam in one bundle, I would rather grab a Nintendo DS emulator and roms of the first three games just through a google search.
The remastered version is based off the ios port which uses poor vectored animation instead of the original sprite animation so I think it looks much worse.
It's still enjoyable too even knowing some of the twists I would say.
We are always constantly judging people even if we don't realize it, forcing their ugly sides out though forces us to consciously reflect on that which we cannot deny which is why you say it is not fun to do sometimes.
Now if you excuse me, I am waiting for someone to accept my cuddle buddy application form, I spent a good effort drawing a cute picture on it too so I'm sure I'll be picked!
