I LOVE MY JOB HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA THANK YOU AMERICA THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY
WAGIE THREAD AGAIN
Depending on what your job is (if you operate heavy machinery especially) you can outright deny it because thats illegal, a full night of sleep is legally required for things like that.
Also thats part of being a cog in a normie wagie machine. I work noon to 1 am monday through wednesday and get the rest of the week off, its a great deal
Where do you work at user? o
That's most likely illegal depending on your state. Tell them to fuck off or just ignore completely how would they know you're even awake to see that message? They can't hold anything against you of course they might try but it wont stick
>One day off this weekend
Im going back in tommorow boys, god help me
working full time is inhumane
>got interviewed twice last week
>looks like I'll get the job
Wish I could become a wagie rn ngl. Wanna start earning bux to save up and travel early next year and buy my art supplies.
Unfortunately no heavy machinery here. Just residential security. You sure as hell sound like you have a sweet deal.
Upscale community where I do security for entitled fucks but some of them are really nice and understanding.
Florida, I have to check user. Shits annoying as hell but I had to go into work two hours later anyway.
Same but my one day off is Tuesday. I'm not making enough to make me want to keep doing this.
Working full time should be criminal. They keep making me cover I don't want the hours I just want three days a week that I work.
If you have a good life situation sure blow your money. If not don't buy art supplies. Waging kills the soul so don't worry you'll lose the desire to make art soon enough.
>don't buy art supplies.
impossible
I've been a wagie before and making art is my way of coping and enjoying life. also traveling. I bite the bullet for six months, save up, and go do my thing until cash runs out, then the cycle starts all over again.
Oh you probably have a safety net. Parents I assume? What kind of medium do you prefer? I used to make charcoal renderings and draw from life until my will to live was put through the wringer.
graphite, usually, tho i've been trying to get into oil painting and watercolors, but that shit's expensive senpai
>until my will to live was put through the wringer
wdym man
It is a sweet deal, especially the pay of the job, when i transferred my pay a little over doubled. Went from 45k to 95k a year, im super glad i got in, its genuinely a based workplace.
>he gets to sleep
ahahahahahahahaha...aha......ha
>was about to quitand follow my dreams
>instead theyve offered me a promotion to department head
shit guys i don't think i can
Thats pretty fucking amazing user, nice art
Very nice user do you frequent /ic/? I feel you on the materials. Fortunately I used to get free charcoal and paper from my old uni.
>Wdym man
Just had a lot of shit happen at once, coupled with a soul crushing job where you get cursed out on the regular, it makes you give up on a lot. I wrote and drew a comic book once and even sold it at smaller comic con won't say which one because it's personally identifying info but that was the height of my art. Was a lot of fun.
What do you do user that's one fucking hell of a pay raise
Oh no another broken soul
>Dreams
Dreams are over rated. I squashed my dreams. I am now completely focused on career development. I have given up.
Im a automotive service technician, apparently where i live 45k was under what even complete newbies make (i think 55k is average starting) and since i had worked for 5 years and the skills to prove it, when i switched places they gave me the actual cash i should be making. Some newbies make even upr to 70k around here so 95k after 5 years isnt too bad, especially given the popularity of the garage i work at and my personal skills.
Very very nice user is it difficult work? What are the hours like? Hopefully you can retire at 40 with the money you're making. I'd be super frugal and invest in some crypto.
Somewhat difficult, mostly in knowledge though, unless we get some car dude asking for something insane, its usually sinple stuff. Id say 40% of it is oil changes, tire alignments, and spark plug replacements. We have huge fans at the back of the shop blowing air so even if its 95 out it feels maybe 76 with the fans. Boss is good on letting me take breaks since he knows i get my work done. The hours are flexible really, i can change mine if i wanted, but i chose to work all my hours in bulk because i like to do a bunch of work all at once and then have a longer break, so 3 days of work and 4 days of break works great.
I cant say i live frugally, but i do have a bit of financial OCD if that makes sense. I make about 8 grand a month, but i limit my monthly spending to exactly 3. The rest goes into savings. 3k a month isnt really frugal though desu, i spend alot of it on vidya and books, ive bought every Stephen king book i can get my hands on.
I doubt ill retire by 40 though, my family has been cursed with insanely long lifespans and 100 seems to be the average age we live to, hell my great grandpa didnt even need a can until he was 98, so im planning to have enough money put away to last that long. I have 300k put away as of now, and at my current rate i should be able to put away 600k more every decade since i put 60 grand away every year, i can retire at 50 with about 1.5 million and that will let me live to 100 with 30k to spend each year too, so ill retire a bit early and not have to make any big lifestyle changes either.
this shit is illegal in any NORMAL country but "noooooooo t-thats socialism! y-you can't pass laws that protect wagies from being exploited!!"
Op is a slave what do you expect
That's actually dependant on your workplace. If I get called out past 10pm I add however much time I had to be out to my start time. So if I get called at 9pm and get home at 11:00 which happens a lot for me I start at 9:00 instead of 7:00.
But shit man our security at my Coop doesn't have this shit happen to them.
