It sucks but to get from 1500 to 2000 rating you actually to (properly) study openings and endgames. Even GMs have to study, so don't feel bad.

use lichess.org/learn and lichess.org/practice for the basics.
then start playing long time control games online (analyze the games afterwards to see if you can find better moves / lines that you missed. try not to rely too much on an engine) and doing tactics.
stop hanging pieces (this will bring your rating up like 400 - 600 points depending on what site you play on)
become acquainted with the main ideas of whatever openings you play (i.e don't just play random moves in the opening)

it means knowing all the replies for the popular openers (up to say... the first 20 moves). Yes, people actually do this lol

Its goodboy points basically, you start with 1500 on lichess and you get +25 for a win I believe (idk I dont have an account there). Highest rated is like 3000.

how do I learn to play endgames?

Daily practice - spend 10-15mins on a position and come up with the best continuation. Practice your chess vision by setting up an empty board and 1 piece (knight->bishop->rook->queen) and "see" in your head all the possible squares it can move to.
