Squidward has the personality of most robots. Incredibly arrogant in his intellect and abilities despite being mediocre at everything.

Why put it in the worst way you can? Remember he also is literally only held back by his looks as shown in the handsone squidward episode. He also can't get the girl he loves because his rival has more money so he becomes bitter. To add insukt to everything he's not incredibly talented at anything despite spending all of his time practicing his passions and gets upstages by spongebob when he tries his hand at art the first time. He's slimy, haha squid slimy, but his life is objectively shit and it's out of his control.

If they aren't Robots then no one is.
