I kinda feel like this is the where beginning of the cyberpunk world's lore would begin. We already have a lot of stuff that could be considered cyberpunk (for example, the Mark 19, an automatic grenade launcher. Or the more authoritarian laws, and how the corporations are in bed with the government).
Pretty much all we're really missing is the finer details, like the more refined bits of technology (which could come soon, tesla has a few of them) or the hive cities that blot out the sun far below the top layers where the rich people live.
Other than that, the world is pretty cyberpunk. It's cyberpunk without the cool cyberpunk stuff, and more depressing reality stuff. It's like they took all the cool stuff, the technology, and otherwise out, and added more stuff to the depressing leftovers we got, like races of people literally being replaced with a lower IQ workforce to boost profits, to make up for the lack of cyberpunk technology.
It's depresspunk. Characterized by depression, nihilism, and a general hatred of humanity that most aware people possess, and everyone else lives in a state of bliss being happy and proud to slave their whole lives away for pennies only to be replaced by automation or somali immigrants.
