unironically turning your brain off

I work with something I enjoy and work feels like a hobby.

Relish in the fact you at least have some free time and aren't doomed to being a Japanese salaryman working from 8 to 10pm at night every day until you die.

Probably working from home as well.

Their work culture is fucked. No wonder they kill themselves so much or just go hikki.

It's easy. Just don't participate

Details? How did you achieve this

Very little of your life is actually self aware, conscious thinking, in your 50 year wagie career you will be constantly distracted and led astray by small (or big) miniquests. You want to save up for a motorcycle? Oh now you want to see what seeing a dominatrix is like? Oh now you want to take a year long vacation and travel? Now you have a fiance? Now you're married? Now you're divorced? Now you're seeing somebody else? now you have kids? Now you have grand kids? Now you're dead?

You aren't a sophisticated intelligent pure logic being, you do what your biology wants you to do.

To those who just neet. Are you supported by your family? How do youdeal with thier disappointment

By becoming a sweaty beta bucks boy

>kardashian shill

die

By refusing to do such a thing
>but you'll starve
I'd rather eat out of a dumpster than be a wagie, and I've done so before too

I work as electronics technician and study electrical engineering to work with clean energy sources like solar and aeolic. I work and study really cool stuff.

I work 10 to 7 instead

Stop working. Jeez that was hard

I work 8-5:30 all weekdays, it sucks but I make just shy of triple digits so I'm not to upset by the longish days. I live close enough to my work that I can wake up at 7am and get home by 6pm, enough time to chill after work and and have a good night sleep.

It really is the most optimal work hours.

Work sucks, that's why we browse Jow Forums

As much as people talk about how bad Japan's work culture is, Americans still work longer hours on average.

Basically deal with it or kill yourself?

>you do what your biology wants you to do
wtf i hate biology now

Come on, waging for 40+ hours isn't biological

Find something you like to do in your spare time that feels rewarding.

By getting a different job. I currently work 20 hours or so a week as a janitor and it's enough to pay my bills, plus since I'm technically a sub contractor I get to show up whenever I want after the office people leave, and leave as soon as I finish.

You're looking at things the wrong way. Yeah, you're working but it's also a social environment that pays for your lifestyle. It's how you make friends in your adult life and while you are working every day, you're doing it with a bunch of your peers who are doing the same thing. Those people can become your life.

What's the difference between a contractor and a sub contractor?

I work for the person that has the contract to clean the place. Business don't give contracts to individuals, but small businesses who can sub it out to individuals.

Stop working 9-5? If you're lucky enough to be born/situated in the first world then just like don't. It's that easy.

Work fewer hours. Work part time. Keep a flexible schedule. Do something online for money. Start your own company. Save up and travel for a year or three. There's like hundreds of different options out there if you're not born a rice slave or something. I'm 30 and haven't worked 9-5 for any prolonged period of time in my life.
