It would be projecting if I told you that you're fucked for life, but yeah... I dropped out of HS too. Thing is, I got my GED when I was 15/16, which led me to leave HS earlier than expected. I pretty much stayed in HS for barely 2 years since I figured my school life was nonexistent. I always skipped classes, never did any homework & was absent for nearly half of the year giving unsubstantiated reasons for my absences. Aside from my shit attendance + non-commitment to school, I was never active causing trouble. Teachers constantly kept saying "he's very well-mannered & is too smart for his own good" which only fed to my cerebral narcisissism. I had significant difficulty interacting with my peers (no, I'm not diagnosed with asperger's though my therapist was considering that I had a mild form of it with ADD, Depression & Generalized Social Anxiety) due to being bullied relentlessly throughout my last year in Junior High / Middle School (that shit still slightly affects me as a 19 y/o). Wasn't bullied in HS or anything. I think the reason I dropped out was due to my maladjustment + disconnection to the school environment, my turbulent home life, self-sabotage due to low self-esteem / cerebral narcissism (I thought school was below me due to social isolation) & a lot moe stuff I don't want to share right now. I just felt like shit every time I stepped foot in the premises & went schizoid / loner till the last bell rung & I would be in this state till I came home. So after a year I got my GED, I attended community college for a few courses but only for a very brief period of time due to experiencing the same thing I felt in HS. Haven't gone back since & I'm pessimistic about my future in furthering my education if I will just become non-committed again.

TL;DR: Same here.
(If OP is still there) Why did you drop out?

I had/have pretty bad anxiety issues. Funnily enough I got straight As with the classes I finished. I'm surviving on family money right now so I'm alright financially. I could be doing better though.

dropped out in sophomore year, never bothered getting a ged. was a drug addict for a while and now im just a neet. just biding my time until i get miserable enough to kill myself

I literally just called a college a few minutes ago to see if they hosted a GED testing center. They were confused as fuck when i called in but eventually found out i was right after i told them the link. Few mins later they called back and gave me a phone number to call.

I dropped out at 18 which one credit left to finish, also i needed 40 hours of community service and i would get my diploma. I dropped out because, i know i wouldn't be able to get into university with my shit grades, so why not drop out? It was a mix of depression, hating school and finanacial problems in my family.

I want to do civil engineering.

you can't go to college if you are over 18 as a freshman. you'll have 0 friends and get bullied then school shooting those freshiefags

Also, what the fuck is on the GED test? I'm not retarded but will i pass if i don't study at all?

study some but it's not very hard no

The science part looks kinda hard. How am i supposed to know the answer to their riddles?

>Don't worry dude. Just buy a GED study guide then buy an SAT study guide as well.

You bought those to help you with science and history? Im from Canada, no SAT here

Well currently, I'm in the military (not US/Canada) right now as I'm sorting out my life. Before I joined, I was passively considering suicide & gave off self-destructive behavior to loved ones around me. My family kept indirectly saying "you need to do something with your life". I was a friendless NEET shut-in for nearly 3 years who only went out for walks & family-related stuff. I'm still a loner yet have something to look forward towards I guess.

Sad to hear that.

Good for you (i guess)

Which is why I'd rather avoid college for the most part. Where I'm at, usually HS students do dual-enrollment when they're in junior to senior year.

It's everything that they expect you to have learnt from K-12. They even sprinkle college-level material in the mix. For me, I passed without studying one bit. Most of it was intuitive. I still passed the English portion without typing a single word in the essay portion, which I found fucking hilarious. I'm still disappointed that I didn't get a score between 175-200. Should've studied more for that.

Don't worry dude. Just buy a GED study guide then buy an SAT study guide as well.

Whoops, sorry for deleting my first comment, had to edit it. I didn't buy anything for studying, I'm giving suggestions if you need it. My place doesn't include SAT material either. I assumed you were from the US.

Have you guys taken an IQ test? It's not practical in the real world but I'm curious. Haven't taken one myself, only online.

I dropped out cause i couldnt be bothered, stayed neet cause there arent better options in this situation. But this country doesnt do ged, so i would literally have to take these dumb ass hs courses at adult school for retards and immigrants (i am also both of these but that's beside the point). kinda wanna take them eventually though as i wanna study psychology lmao, but only if i can get the government to pay for it

>dropped out in hs
>become a successful faggot
>essentially get paid to shitpost
idk man, im actually just lucky

What do you do? Idfk why people are vague ffs

>almost 1 hour, no replies...
Alright, double-digit scores it is.

iq tests mean nothing at all man

yeah, you're right. lots of people do them at will for their fragile egos.

anyone here consider trade school/military

I dropped out at 16, best decision of my life! Got 3 jobs after, I'm still way better off than any of my peers!
That was a while ago though. I got my GED a few years later. Now I have an amazing job in IT and they are paying for my education!

I dropped out at 14 and neeted and took drugs whilst I made weird computer music until 19 then I got a construction job and used all my savings for investments, run 2 businesses now (1 is a record label that came out of my weird music shit). My brother did the same but his passion was programming he now works for banks in fintech and has a family. I just wished I had dropped out and gone straight into working at 16 by the time kids were ready for university I'd have enough for the deposit on a flat or a good amount for starting a more higher risk business. The educational route isn't for everyone. I am 27 btw.

did you study for it or just passed it with no trouble? What was your score?
