I really want to visit ikebukuro is it nice?

>Living anywhere but Akihabara and becoming a regular at a maid cafe

Do you also read the text in RPGs and eat the crust on your sandwiches? Why are participating in the shitty part of Japanese culture?

There are houses in mountain villages only an hour or 2 from Osaka that are very affordable. I would love to live in one, but I dont want to move to Japan. I just want to live in a pretty mountain area that is within a couple hours drive from the city and beach. If only there were places in America like Japan.

That sounds nice, I prefer big cities though. I already have an apartment

I'm into anime and shit but I'm not really keen on going to those parts of japan, I'm not going to japan because I like that stuff
I'm going because it's so different than us

Yes. I haven't been here for long though. Been to a few spots I've seen in anime.

I can only wish I guess

There are youre just a weeb

prepare to be treated as americans treat mexicans

Where? I live in California, but its about a 4 hour drive from the mountains to a major city. Also, the mountains are dry, dead, and on fire part of the year.

I thought their migrant policies were strict

Do I need to be able to speak japanese? I am considering studying there.

Yes you need to learn fucking Japanese, its Japan. You are going to be extremely limited if you only speak English.

I am, beforehand? Or will it be practical enough to learn as I go along?

I don't think so, I was there a couple years ago for a visit and people on the street would ask to take selfies with me cause they'd never seen a foreigner. But I was bright blonde so I stood out way more

The more you speak, the better off you will be.

Lmao user, you NEED to learn Japanese. People there speak only broken English if they speak any at all
I'm moving now but I also speak read and write Japanese

Americans were always very friendly to me, though. Specially old white boomers.

Don't the Japanese make it virtually impossible for foreigners to buy houses?

They.make it ridiculously easy for native Japanese though. Young japanese xan literally get free houses through a govt program no strings attached. I'm extremely jealous because well never have shit like that in the US.

Yeah it's pretty hard, it's even more difficult to actually get a visa

That's the right mindset user. Go to Japan because of Japan itself and not because of Anime.
