No him but I have. I signed an apartment lease after landing a new job and it turned out to be in the worst part of the city.
Oddly enough once they figured out that I was just a normal working dude they left me alone for the most part. I would never, ever leave my door unlocked for any length of time and I had to sleep with ear plugs since they love to honk and yell and play loud music but it was fairly uneventful.
Riding the bus home at 11 pm was by far the worst experience. I'll never forget that asian kid who was kicked (with both feet) in the face and his glasses exploded. Or the guy drinking Steele Reserve who fell over after a hard stop and his beer flew all over everyone. Or trashbag guy who wore hot pants and you could see his testicles.

Yeah, living in bad neighborhoods sure is an experience. I grew up in a project full of whites and I've basically seen similar shit. My mom still lives there so when I go visit I can still see the old neighborhood and how little it changes with the years. I was out of a bar once and a guy followed me on 2 miles trying to provoke me into a fight. I found out later that he's actually mentally deficient.
