>Not sure what private trackers are all about? The mission of /ptg/ is to promote the lowest possible standards of tracker service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical incompetence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.
Remember the following: >Staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before. >This is a thread for educational purposes only. Don't offer or ask for invites. >Staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers.
Sister thread: News: - Exhentai is ded, E-hentai will die soon, archive everything you can. - Endless boring discussion about nothing.
RED has PTP recruitment but the requirements are pretty steep. This shows most of the rest. uploadir.com/u/pdmhcfez (from OP) They didn't include BIB somehow.
Eli Bennett
>Staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before. staff where??????
Joseph Garcia
The trackers.
Elijah Gray
i use netflix and it works fine...
Blake Johnson
Netflix is losing content all of the time. PTP has more movies than netflix's entire library, even counting individual episodes of shows.
Isaac Powell
>w-what? did you post this on accident? Nope.
Dylan White
It works fine because you're a fucking idiot that doesn't know any better.

I mean the ratings are 79% on PTP, therefore, it must be enjoyable right?
Ryan Mitchell
PTP ratings are useless.

another day another stupid fucking op posting on the wrong board
Parker Miller
No. /tv/ is a more reliable source for ratings. Just watch BR 2049 for the nth time.
Landon Thomas
oh and apollo sucked
Michael Morales
Not an issue, other than the lost content. You can get into the new sites easily if you're on other trackers. And there will always be new sites. >gazellegames ggn isn't dead though
Henry Rogers
thats why you try to maintain accounts on a couple trackers that have decent invite forums so if one gets shut down you can still have access
I have an insane amount of underground hip hop that is also lost on the internet because defunct hosting and dead forums.
Always wanted to share it but mega wouldnt let me
Kevin Baker
Delete it all.
Dylan Sanders
A) nobody can take down a torrent, they only die for lack of seeds B) if you want to save it forever, upload to archive.org, even if it gets DMCA'd, they will most likely keep it so it's not lost to the ether C) if you want to share with plebs don't use sites that comply with DMCA
Jeremiah Rogers
>hack torrent clients >they're using sonarr/radarr >see stalled torrents from public sites evere tiem Why do they do it to themselves?

Why?
I can't afford VPN so.... can you use this sort of thing free really?
Mason Morris
>mega wouldnt let me This was because whenever I reached around 150GB the thing would fuck up. >DMCA This is stuff made by people in basements who not even the underground knows about so it is rare enough that it would not be an issue >torrent I thought about this and getting a seedbox etc but I often have my net go offline and also do not want to share my IP (im techlet) with people im sharing torrent with.
thanks bro will think about it

>friends >getting a job This thread is not Jow Forumscore at all.
I never even attempted it myself and I'm 30 and not even that retarded.
Jeremiah Gonzalez
>I can't afford VPN You don't need a VPN on private trackers. >This thread is not Jow Forumscore at all Being on private trackers is essential Jow Forums but getting on them in 2019 definitely isn't. It used to be so much easier in the simpler times of 2013. At least it's easier than it was in 2003, when they didn't even have interviews.
Chase Thomas
The Jow Forums is too mentally ill to do that, or at least I am. If I can't get a job why would you expect me to be able to figure out how to get the data I want to hoard as a neet? One reason i actually don't live in the woods is because I in fact don't have the data. The Internet is broken in today's times.
Jason Baker
why would i bother to do anything extra to keep my accounts when everything is on 1337x anyway
Lincoln Gonzalez
>If I can't get a job why would you expect me to be able to figure out how to get the data I want to hoard as a neet I don't know about you but the reason I can't get a job is because of overthinking, over-planning, obsessing over detail. Figuring out is the easy part-implementing it is the hard part, when you have to deal with interviews or communities. Luckily I got in years ago when many of what-are-now top trackers were open signup.
Jose Reyes
I have an animebytes account. I had uploaded a few things I downloaded on bakabt many years ago that hadn't been already uploaded to animebytes. I had also bought a cheap album someone requested and uploaded it in multiple formats. I easily got to power user. But then they eventually changed the formats they allowed, or something, and some of my torrents were gone and I was dropped back down to a plain ol user. Then I think they did it again because now all the music I'm seeding only have two working torrents each instead of 4.
I don't even watch anime anymore and I don't know much about the policy changes because I rarely even visit. I just try to remember to log in every few weeks so I don't lose the account... even though I don't really use it... then when free leech is enabled I think "I should take advantage of this" but I don't even like anime that much anymore man. I can never think of what to download.
I often think about buying some stuff to upload because that was really fun and I like the thought of helping get stuff that people want for them. It makes me feel good to think about. And then I think about trying to get into other trackers. But it's just too much work and I'm too depressed to bother. It's hard enough just logging in every month. I don't even have shit I want anymore. Games anime music, nothing.
anyway I've been thinking about this for a long time and figured this would be my chance to say it have an ice day

>something stressful happens such as thinking >>ok ok I'm smart everyone said so >try thing >going well >get confused >bad emotion halves IQ >ragequit >try again >feel scared actually stupid >cannot learn thing due to halved IQ via stress >literally scream and bang head until knots on head >almost cry >nope out >>I tried so don't say I didn't faggots >to literally no one >>x thing people have that I don't such as VPN >others have better computers >better access that allows for more than 15 gigs per month download 30 tops 128 kilobit speeds often >others had computers before the age of 20 with access in their houses >why is isohunt kill anyway? >I miss anivide and when downloads were in temporary Internet folder no matter site >miss when the world made since >go drink until shit black >go long time without trying anything stressful >learned it won't work out so can't even 'try' >wonder what try even means often >is there such a thing as choice? >sparingly try to get job >feel rejected when not called for entry level position even though have k-12 and some college >go long time without applying
That's me. I'm 30 and have never worked and am personality disorder type C, that "surprisingly inefficient" "easily stressed" kind. I just don't do well in general. My only strong suite is being a giant asshole about the truth. Example: >go to group like therapy group or church >defend lolicon drawings because can't censor self in front of everyone >>smoking gun etc and scoffing >bitch at the guy that put me on the spot about Internet laws and my opinions on privacy
Well... that's me. I know computers well enough to know what particians are, drivers, try to use different driver and it fails, never have confidence to make two OS's on one hard disc. I'm that kind of stupid that gives off an aura of intelligence and actually never does anything intelligent. Like I'll get to the end of a video game and not die once but never beat the thing. [rant long]
>partician Why was that not underlined in red. See what I have to deal with?

>tfw miss the Golden Era of PTG

how do I get a jpopsuki invite the only tracker I am in is AnimeBytes
Luis Lopez
Ah, I didn't think about storage. I'm actually in a private DDL site, and so far I've uploaded over a 3TB of shit to mega. All you have to do is spread it out over different accounts. And if actually nobody cares to DMCA them, archive.org is a great host. You can upload 1000GB files there.
Landon Parker
They don't have everything. Not even close. And shit dies there all of the time.
Christian Martin
>no rutracker fuck you i like rutracker, only place that has always had the music I wanted
Joseph Mitchell
Kind of sad if you don't want anything else from other sites. Because it's pretty easy to get into them from AB if you're power user. That's OK, though. If you're PU on AB you can get invites in the forums. If you're not PU you can watch this page and transcode music. It's the lowest form of upload but the easiest. animebytes.tv/better.php?action=transcode
Aaron Bennett
how do people even find shit to upload to AB that isn't already uploaded
Matthew Richardson
there are 80 pages of requests... Besides that, Manga is severely neglected on AB, lots of stuff to upload there. AB allows for lots of encodes by different groups to co-exist. So even if something's uploaded, you can most likely upload another group's encode. Just read the rules about co-existing. And there are a fuckton of obscure japanese groups who make music. It's very easy to find music not on AB if you're looking at doujin music.
Levi Gray
the only one i have is EMP and i delete everything i download...

Never been over a BMI of 13
Thomas Powell
But user, I've downloaded torrents there that are over a terabyte, And AAA games are 50GB+ so 80 of them isn't such a stretch.
Joseph Walker
It'd take me years to download that with neet Internet speeds. Literally. >just wait years bro Alternatively, the obvious point is who the fuck would even want to be a part of these groups if you already have that much downloaded selectively of your favorite things? That's more shit than I'd even want in my life. That's obviously downloading shit you don't for some social construct meant to force cooperation to increase seeds of popular things so everyone there has superior speed to download for everything that everyone popularly downloaded.
I see why they would want that to happen but it'd take me too long and would negate the point of even going to be a part of their groups.
I for one won't be jerked around then taken advantage of for no reason, AND it's hard to figure out the guides to get into one of those places.
Also, what even has a game file size of 50 gigs? That's insane. I don't like new things. Game ISOs are much much less file space. I don't get it. I only use 30-60 gigs a month worth of data of TV using putlocker clones and that means 4TB of data is 5.5 years if not longer. I watch the same shit every single year, play the same shit, so 1TB is actually all I'd need for the rest of my life.
But hey, that's just my perspective as the mentally ill user. My computer doesn't even handle today's videos I guess so I'm not remembering how kids today are spoiled.
