I really don't know how to describe my husband's speech patterns, it's definitely demure, but it has a hint of confidence yet timidness to it, it's very dad-like too. I really like the way he speaks, he just feels very genuine.

I don't know Japanese so I don't know everything about her diction, but the subtitles just seem average. Not too eloquent, and not too inarticulate. I heard somewhere that she worded something pretty harshly during one scene, and the subs didn't do it justice. I enjoy how proper her speech is. Even if it's a bit old-timey, she expresses herself well through it and it fits her. It's cute and thoroughly gets the point across in her blunt words.
