Self-improvement streak/nofap day 3 will be complete in about an hour.
I've added the requirement of progressing 10 pages in a non-fiction book daily. So now my requirements to continue the streak are not masturbating, reading 10 pages of non-fiction, and going for a walk of at least half an hour. Aside from that I've practiced by drawing a little bit today, and cleaned my room, pretty satisfying. What are you doing for self-improvement user?
I'm reading 10 pages, the same as you, masturbating twice a week tops, and exercising 15 minutes at home, while going on any walks or other outings that come my way. You sound like you're on track! Please keep the streak up, I'll do the same and reply when I see the threads.
If you don't mind me asking I've always been curious about the whole nofap thing. Like what exactly is it supposed to do for you other than drive you crazy and teach you how to go without?
Kayden Bailey
You too user! What book are you reading?
Hunter Wright
Currently October, by China Mieville I think? Just started, but it seems like a good insight into the Russian Revolution. How about you?
Leo Baker
For me personally it's about discipline, resisting short-term gratification, a sense of purity (maybe I just have an unhealthy attitude towards masturbation haha) masturbating would make me feel bad anyway. Some will claim that it gives them a lot of confidence and focus among other things but I haven't experienced that.
Gabriel Jackson
Ah, it goes in-depth about how Russia turned into a socialist country? Sounds interesting. Currently reading The Psychology of C.G. Jung myself, it can be seen as a summary of the ideas of Carl Jung.
Jonathan Morris
Yeah, and I think it covers the events that led up to it, like the Romanovs and Lenin's personal history. That sounds good too, I've definitely heard the name but never looked much further.
Nicholas Garcia
Hey nofap user. I missed you. Good to know you're still going. How're you finding your new requirements? Is it getting easier?
Remember some of that stuff from history classes, the Romanovs deaths, Red Sunday, etc... history was pretty fun. Do you mostly read history related stuff? I like psychology myself, I'd love to read philosophy too in the future but I've never really considered the option of history yet.
Oh yay, you're back! It's very doable so far, also makes me feel more fulfilled at the end of the day. Did you practice Japanese or write today?
Logan Watson
Yessss getting your room cleaned feels so good I really want to get into mma as I think it would be a good cathartic outlit
Jack Cook
Of course I'm back! I've been looking forward to talking to you these days a fair bit! I did just get done studying Japanese but I have to confess I wasted the whole morning doing some... improper stuff.
Hi again self-improvement user! I knew you would succeed, and I know you will succeed tomorrow as well. I've made it past day 3 too. So far so good. How have you treated yourself today?
Ahh I see. Yeah I can see how the discipline thing could be very useful. I could do with some more discipline in my life in general. Just never thought nofap might be a way of building up that discipline haha. Might have to try it and see what happens.
Daniel Torres
I just feel kinda guilty about having done it all morning when you're being such a good disciplined boy about it. But yeah at least I'm keeping at it. I'm going to try and go running soon before I go catch a movie with some pals later tonight too. I've got Hiragana and Katakana down almost perfectly now. There's around 5 characters that give me trouble, but I can navigate it now. So I'm gonna start reading the grammar guide tomorrow and maybe start studying basic kanji along with the radicals.
Will these threads be regular? Its easier for me to move forward if others are moving forward with me
Levi Watson
>I've treated myself just fine I suppose, what about you? That's great to hear. Keep at it. I've wasted most of my time today on r9k but got a bit of guitar practice in at least. Back to work tomorrow. >I'm gonna start reading the grammar guide tomorrow and maybe start studying basic kanji along with the radicals. Which grammar guide? Tae Kim? I used that one, it's very convenient and easy to understand desu. I agree, let's do it. Will you make these daily, OP? Always love to check in on my cherished sensitive boi. :)
I plan on posting them daily around this time. So, yes. I'm glad these threads are helpful to you in that way.
Haha, don't worry about it. If you haven't really started a "challenge" then no rules are being broken right? Besides, you already go to bed early which is something I lack discipline in unlike you!
So you jog to stay in shape? That's great user, I used to run too but I'm a bit light so I thought I'd best limit the intensive cardio and go for walks instead. Swimming also seems fun but that's quite expensive.
What movie are you gonna see if you don't mind me asking, have fun either way!
You play guitar? That's awesome user, do you have any songs or are you just a beginner?
Angel Bell
I guess you're right. Plus I don't feel like it's an issue for me even though I do do it a lot. I run 'cause I like it and it's relaxing! I like moving around in general, I used to swim a lot and did parkour for a while (but not anymore 'cause cops don't like it). I also do a little bit of lifting and bodyweight exercises and those are actually to stay in shape 'cause they're boring and they suck, We're gonna go see the Ted Bundy movie. I'm really only going 'cause I think Zac Efron is cute... Yeah Tae Kim. I read it's good for a beginner guide and then you can go and get something more comprehensive with it as a solid base. Also that's nice user. I wanna start practicing guitar again too. I recently got into Math Rock fairly heavily and a lot of that stuff is much higher level than what I usually play, so I need to up my skills somewhat.
>weighted myself the other day and was just under 16 and a half stone >started eating less in an attempt to lose it >already dropped to just over 16 stone It's slow progress but I'm happy that I'm losing weight. I don't want to set myself large goals that I'll likely get disappointed at and give up, so I'm setting myself the goal of 15 and a half stone and then 15, and so on until I'm at least a somewhat healthy weight.
Blake Carter
Haha it's nothing. I'm really bad, all I can do is sloppily play some of my favorite rock or heavy metal riffs. I'm teaching myself and I'm terrible at physical skills like playing instruments. But I have all the time in the world to get better now, so maybe it'll go somewhere eventually. Tae Kim is great, I think you'll like it a lot. If you need help with anything, feel free to ask. I'm no expert but I have a decent grasp of the grammar in particular.
Grayson Watson
I'm a skeleton trying to gain weight. Targeting 3000 cal a day, slowly but surely.
Woah, you must be quite a sporty type! Even parkour? What's that like? And you play (played?) guitar too, you have quite a few things going on. I need to step up my game haha. I do some random push-ups and crunches here and there but nothing really consistent.
Congratulations on your weight loss then! Not really sure what kind of measurement unit stones are but that sounds like good progress.
Must be pretty hard to teach yourself without a teacher, but it seems you already accomplished quite a bit that way seeing that you can (although sloppily) play some parts. Just a matter of practice from here on out, I'm sure you'll be able to grow a lot more.
3000 cal? Isn't that a lot? Good on you for working on yourself like that anyway.
I guess I'm relatively fit but I like it. It's just kinda nice to get the blood pumping and stuff you know? Parkour is cool but it can be dangerous. Cops don't like it, people don't appreciate you climbing onto their roofs and fences can sometimes be rusty and break or similar stuff. It's good though! It makes moving around town very fun. So I take it you're a relatively small skinny boy then? I'll ask around if I have problems yeah.
Oh I totally understand, it makes you feel reinvigorated after and during a nice run, swim or whatever it is. I use my bicycle to travel a lot but also sometimes just to go out for some cardio, gives that feeling too.
You would climb onto people's roofs and stuff? That sounds cool, and quite scary too. I can see how it would make moving around town quite fun haha.
Well, I'm not super small in terms of height, around 180cm/5'11" I think, but if you mean small in terms of "not very broad" then yeah, I'm a bit skinny. Not really out of shape as much but I doubt I could keep up with you from the looks of it!
You're that tall?! That's kind of intimidating haha.
Biking is indeed fun, especially on more windy days, biking at full speed with the wind blowing in your face and your heart pumping is bliss. Bikes always have a bell don't they? Do you just ring it randomly? Ahaha
I started exercising a few months back and eating healthy, I refrain from masturbation and I take cold showers. No gf but I feel better physically and mentally.
Elijah Jones
1.86 is not that tall is it? It's just about average I think. But don't be intimidated. I would never harm my cute friend.
I like the intense winds too 'cause my hair just flops around wildly and it makes me feel cool. And yeah haha! I just ring it randomly at times 'cause it's funny.
It's relativaly tall I suppose, but in that case I won't be intimidated hehe.
Yeah, that happens to my hair too. It feels really nice, especially on warmer days where there is still wind. Biking, swimming, parkour, running, you really do it all don't you. ^^
That's amazing user, if a gf is what you're looking for then these are also things that will likely increase your chances, even the part about feeling better!
Jacob Clark
Well I did say I like breaking a sweat! Everything that gets the heart pumping and the limbs rocking is cool in my book. Especially after you're done, your breathing feels so effortless and light after a little bit of exercise you know? I like it a lot.
Do you have longer hair user? 'Cause I feel that makes the wind so much more fun.
I have to get going on my run now. I'll try and get a message out to you when I get back if you're still around but if not I hope you sleep well and I hope I get to see you tomorrow!
Light? My breathing just feels really heavy after I exhaust myself, but maybe after that phase. You really are the sporty type though haha.
My hair is indeed a bit long for a boy. In the front it reaches my lips if I pull it down all the way. At the sides it goes till the bottom of my ear, it also covers my ear a bit. At the back untill about my upper neck. What's your hair like? Assuming you'll be able to reply to that.
Enjoy your run! Don't overdo it okay. Thanks for the good wishes, I might be in bed already when you return.

When are you two gonna fuck the sexual tension is unbearable
Lucas Hernandez
>no fap >self improvement
Brandon Perry
It's self-improvement to me! Besides, it's paired with the other things I mentioned.
Sebastian Moore
Stupid retard, do something of value
Parker Adams
I'm starting easy. Tonight will be 48 hours of nosoda and nofap, nothing else. I'm cutting soda just for the sugar, and still drinking monster though.
Connor Butler
Such as? It and the other things I mentioned have value to me personally.
Nothing wrong with starting easy user! Improvement is improvement, but isn't Monster super high in sugar?
I drink Lo-Carb monster which comes in a bigger can than coke and has 7g of sugar, compared to a normal-sized can of coke that has over 40g.
Evan Gray
You know what, fuck it, Ill do this no fap shit too. Hopefully this makes me stop crying at night.
Lincoln Anderson
It's not some magic cure user, you'll need to focus on the reason why you're crying every night. It can certainly be a step in the right direction however. I hope you'll succeed in tackling the source of your sadness.
