I've already added usernames and passwords so you can see your old posts. You don't need to sign in to see your posts and see how has replied to you. One of the goals of my project is to maintain annoynimity. For example, I plan to randomly rename files so they can't be traced back to the person (unless you opt out and want to keep the file name for a funny joke).

mp4 support sounds really nice. I will definitely add that to my list. I'm considering personal boards, and will likely have "board options" that allow you to filter phone posters and other settings.

Unique iDs would fix the samefagging in threads unless someone uses a proxy but no one would put that much effort just to cause more confusion in discussion. Also it's not like the iD would follow you outside of the thread

So? They're not anonymous imageboards, they're subreddits in everything but name. There are plenty of weirdos on the actual reddit too, just make a new account for each board you visit and you won't have to spend 2 years reinventing it.

Luckily we've been able to keep tripfagging to a fucking minimum on this site, partially helped by the fact that it isn't designed to have you congretate wherever you want as soon as you're thrown out from any established board, so it's actually possible to fight cancer. I don't love containment or flag boards on here either, but 8cha and the like we're made for rdditors that actually want this shit, not anons.

That's the thing though. They create their own containment boards. Nothing forces you to use those and the boards you do use are better off. Think if all the zoomers posted in their own Sneed board, or whatever shit meme of the week. Your boards benefit.

Will you be able to opt out of logging in? I don't want to log in at all. I don't want to make an account, even if it's "anonymous", it really isn't. Anyone should be able to just go there and post (except phone posters of course).

Oh yeah, no. You don't have to log in at all. I've already added a session based system that allows you to view your own posts and people who have replied to you as long as you don't clear your cookies. This way you can maintain anonymity and still have a good user experience. User accounts will only be to safeguard your posts if you're a regular user. If you use an incognito tab it'll be like you're a brand new person.

Thanks, user, that clears it up for me. I was skeptical at first it was a honeypot to collect people who move there if Jow Forums gets shut down. I mean, it definitely could be and I'm talking to a fed, but there's not a lot I can do about it.

Also a suggestion if you haven't heard it already is being able to post multiple images and files, including pdfs. It would be really cool to share lots of stuff that isn't limited to pictures and video, like in book threads on a potential lit board or something.

What the posting would benefit from is some built in bells and whistles. A choice of fonts,colors,bold type,italics,underline. Something to facilitate creativity in making posts.
