Like if you go stormcloaks you will fuck up the first city in the playthrough while cucking the best character in the game (Jarl Balgruuf). It could be better with the decision making but Fallout is not that much better in that regard.

Literally every other faction revolves around worshipping a central figure (House, Caesar, the courier). The NCR weathered the loss of Tandi better than the Legion would the death of Caesar, or the Strip without House.

Skyrim without mods would be absolutely nothing, nobody would play it New Vegas on the overhand actually has an intresting story and intresting factions such as Caesar's Legion and Mr House. Skyrim's factions are stupid and boring.
The Dark brothehood are literally like 8 people arguing with each over 24/7 and Astrid betrays them for literally no reason whatsoever
The vampires (Harkons clan) are so fucking stupid with their plan, yeah lets just block out the sun killing all plants then animals then humans and then eventually us vampires. 100% logic
Not to mention there is no impact on siding with any faction in Skyrim, you join the evil vampires and block the sun, the sun is dark for one day, ONE DAY before it goes back to normal because "can't have too much player choice now can we"
Not to mention the combat fucking sucks, it's literally swing at the enemy as much as possible until either one of you dies and if you are about to die you can just go into your inventory and drink health potions, that or you can shoot 500 arrows into an enemy human before he dies.
