Why do most people on r9k work as programmers? In nearly every thread I see talking about jobs at least 60% of the anons replying are programmers.

>implying they're not larping for validation and a false sense of accomplishment
You know better than that, OP

Because IT is the default field for incels and soiboys

some thoughts: doesnt require as much social interaxtion as other jobs, when u have extensive pc/media use it is the closest choice, relative high ibtabt gratification helps people with low self control, often not too strict work enviroment compared to other jobs, so overall its a fitting job for people who may bot be intellectual retards but lack self control and or social competence

There's jobs out there that are more specifically tailored to robots.

I work in visitor management and as a guide at a WHO cutlural heritage.

I want to get in to programming. I already know c, where should I go from now? How much time would it take to be able to get a job? Pls help, I'm just trying to get some money :(

i'm horrific at math and logic so i cant code whatsoever and my tiny brain barely got me past basic algebra classes.

i think i can write words well at least so english is my only strength--but what good is an english career

wear a skirt and start sucking dicks

Learn python, fun, versatile, and easy language, tons of jobs

You don't need math for the majority of programming.

Definitely this. Plus the money is good enough that people will stay in the field for a long time. Where else can you make six figures working in your jammies from home?

Aspies are natural programmers. It takes no effort at all, complex systems are like peeing.

>custodian
nonsense, you server the master of mankind

I feel pity for all the fools that fell for the IT meme instead of the trade meme

>Spend entire life on computer
>Wonder why they get computer related jobs that require minimal social skills
Geez, I really wonder.

If you're asking that question, then you're most likely never going to get a C related job. If you haven't been programming with tangible results since a kid or didn't study comp sci, then learn python, js or java. Create and finish a couple projects, put them on github then you'll get a junior position somewhere.

>a guide at a world health organization cultural heritage
And this is where we killed a bunch of people for science. If you put your headphones on you can still hear their tormented screams of agony.

Imagine not wanting to be handicapped by 40. What cucks.

you do if you want the degree

Basically because the same seed turns people into robots also makes them focus excessively on a hobby which for many turns out to be programming:
If you have few friends in your early teens, you fill your time with stuff to do alone. Probably you'll have played a lot of Vidya already and now want to learn to do cool stuff like that. So you start learning to program, because what else are you gonna do with your time?
Now you invest a lot of time into programming instead of socializing or doing things other kids do, which means it's harder for you to even talk to them. You probably can't even bond about movies and games as much as you used to, because you consume less of them because your too focused on programming.
Now puberty comes in hard and you're too socially inept to fulfill any of your desires, which turns you into an angry robot. You turn to r9k or other forums for outcasts to spit your anger about how good normies have it compared to you. Plus you invest even more time into programming because "you'll show them later".
Now you're done with school and need to decide what to do. You programmed all your youth, so CS is by far the path of least resistance.
Congratulations, you're a robot programmer.

>tfw just started programming at 18

Is it too late now? It seems like most people have been programming since they were 11 years old.

My uni requires vector calc/diff eq for the degree.

same user. the only things i've got going for me are my "capabilities" in english and history.

Eh, you can still be good at it. Just put in the time. They just have a lot of advantage obviously. They spent the time of their lifes with most energy, interest and free time on it. But don't trust that having a degree or something will make you good. What makes you good is the dedication and real interest you put in in your free time. All the patterns and algorithms you learn in uni are a nice applications and tools, but they are all worthless if you don't actually spend time just programming whatever you fucking want and learn to build programs by yourself.

I ain't no faggot m8, I just want to wageslave

But people never use them (except they program game engines or something) and it's not even really hard maths.

lol. most programmers dont give a shit about programming. people that do it as a hobby since a young age are the exception

Yes, but not being able to pass HS algebra will cause him to fail a lot of the coursework. It will also inform him for things like scaling and such.

True. But I think programing is a profession where people who didn't go the academic route are very easily accepted if they can demonstrate their abilities. So you can just not go to college, learn programming and become one that way.

Network technician here not a programmer.

Networking is the most pajeet field in IT and you can't prove me wrong. Just look at the clusterfuck called IPv6. How the fuck that shit became successor to IPv4??

My dad is a networking technician because he hated programming. I feel the same, is networking easy enough?

>that fucking feelio when no avg korean gf

Fuck me I had to take a networking module in my first year and it was honestly the most boring fucking shit ever. Worse than Web dev for me and I hate web dev.

The pay is pretty good
Atleast where i live
IT sector is pretty big

Because every brainlet can program and idiots who grew up spending too much time on their computers think it makes them smart to make a database talk to a UI and like to brag about it.

One thing you do need to be a great programmer seems to be an impeccable ability to focus.

Apt analysis. This is exactly my youth.

how's that job search going mathfag?

It's been a year since. Working in a comfy AI research team now which is pretty neat.

I used to want to be a programmer when I was younger but then I realized how fucking boring it seems

What kind of classes did you do to become one?

>comfy AI research team

Lmao nice larp.
