Please post beautiful artworks (with art style if possible) here, I need some inspiration for my presentation. Would also love to see what you deem as beautiful [and why]
One of my favorites has to be The Bathing Pool by Hubert Robert

Nice
A Hungarian guy posted this earlier without context, I thought it was pretty and saved it
My favorite painting. By Bouguereau
I also love Alma Tadema's color pallette, as well as depictions of Classical Greece
Picture I personally took
This is a Great one by Waterhouse as well. Depicts the Lady of Shallott, it depicts the ending of Lord Tennyson's poem of the same name. Sidenote: I wish people posting would add a little description or tell us something about the painting
I wish I could brother. However all I do is save art without name nor description. So instead of reverse image searching each piece I’m just spamming to bump the thread. Art threads are good stuff but rare
Can't forget Rembrandt - one of the best painters of all time
Encapsulates the magic of storytelling and the wonder of childhood. Also exploration.
One of my favs. So comfy.
I love this detail
This is by God
excellent, bro. I like the proportionate amount of space that the sea lipper and water take up in the composition. The reflecting light off of the water creates a nice contrast with the surrounding dark water.
Found this in a museum tucked away in a tiny hallway.
You will notice the detail changes from a box to a unicorn
That's because it represents the tabernacle and covenant of God.
Jesus as The Peacock Angel
North Korea during some sort of parade
Christopher Paddock in North Korea
this sucks. I have so many but they're all >4MB
Thanks. The only thing to be fixed is the slight slight tilt of the horizon, but it took a few tries to get this in a spot without an oil rig in the background. The gulf of mexico is full of them
My big sis and me.
Rembrandt's Sacrifice of Issac. I have become lost in this painting for hours.
Real art coming through
Rouen Cathedral in Full Sunlight - Harmony in Blue and Gold 1893 Monet
Monet did loads of paintings of this same view but in different weather conditions and times of day. This is my favourite.
Apparition of Christ to St. Maria Faustina Kawalska, depicting the blood and water flowing from the Heart of Christ for the forgiveness of sin
user, don't make my blood boil
THERE IS AN ENTIRE BOARD FOR ART FaGGOT
Darger...
I WISH I CAN TURN BACK TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!! TO THE GOOD OL DAYYYYSS!!!!!!!!!!
A favourite
The Annunciation
Caspar David Friedrich is underrated. Can't find a bigger image but I have a replica of Two Men at the Sea in my living room.
And if anyone doesnt know these are Henry Darger's work. A recluse who lived most of his entire life in a couple blocks of Chicago working menial jobs to fund his obsession of collecting pictures of little girls and making these massive paintings. He worked on butcher paper, because it was cheap, taped together on both sides. This is from something crazy wide, the picture doesn't do it justice.
Yeaha, somebody knows
I've seen this painting IRL in DC. it's huge.
Sunset one.
I rather like that. It’s great when you’re in a gallery and find a painting you like but everyone else is ignoring it not seeing it.

I saw this in the British Museum
WHERE OUR MOTHER SING US TO SLEEP
I think this picture might be really low quality, can't tell.
He tried for a long time to adopt a little girl because he was obsessed with little girls.
If think the christcucks who spam here would love him, he was super Catholic.
Oh dear the pickle is missing
This is my favorite painting and very similar to yours. It's Georges de la Tour's Magdalene with the smoking flame.
Wyeth's Christina's World
