Boston Cake. It's basically sweet bread cinnamon rolls baked together in a cake mould.
dlc.fi/~marian1/gourmet/14_11.htm

Not to be mixed with Boston Pie, which is a different thing.

Gyros number one!
What is with Americans and their obsession with pickles?

Attached: 1200px-Pita_giros.JPG.jpg (1199x868, 224K)

their food tends to be heavily sweetened, even in ways you would expect, so adding sour taste and salt helps

Gyros are pretty great desu. Also I always hear we love pickles but we only ever eat them with things like fried foods, bbq, burgers, and I guess hot dogs and sandwiches up north

While this isn't inherently wrong the best pickles are somewhat sweet tbqh

What's danish about sliced bread with toppings?

>While this isn't inherently wrong the best pickles are somewhat sweet tbqh
yea there are many types of pickles, i love them too America, had some Swedish ones once that were so salty they were inedible, i checked the product contents because i was SURE it was a manufacturing error, but nope, supposed to be that way apparently, they came in a bag, couldn't even finish one pickle, threw them all out

what's that green stuff that looks really unhealthy...

there are very specific rules and names for what sandwiches have what on them. also the more traditional smorrebrod sellers have clearly defined customs and rules

It's a pickle dumb german

How many occupation zones does Jow Forums have right now?

no i mean the candy green stuff below it

Mandatory

Attached: file.png (700x467, 532K)

We have smorbrod here too though, and I think sweden does as well.
What are the rules for the danish ones?

>martini
based.
Hearts full of youth, hearts full of truth, six parts gin to one part vermouth!

Karelian stew/hot pot. Beef, pork, game, carrots, onions, black peppercorn, bay leaves, salt. Either water (traditional) or dark beer. Bake at least 3 hours (favourably 4-6 hours) in the oven at 130-150°C. Add water or beer in the middle if needed.

Attached: pata.jpg (1125x1500, 264K)

looks good
i like stew

"anish cuisine (Danish: det danske kokken) originated from the peasant population's own local produce and was enhanced by cooking techniques developed in the late 19th century and the wider availability of goods after the Industrial Revolution. Open sandwiches, known as smorrebrod, which in their basic form are the usual fare for lunch, can be considered a national speciality when prepared and decorated with a variety of fine ingredients. Hot meals are typically prepared with meat or fish. Substantial meat and fish dishes includes flæskesteg (roast pork with crackling) and kogt torsk (poached cod) with mustard sauce and trimmings. Ground meats (pork, veal or beef) became widespread during the industrial revolution and traditional dishes that are still popular includes frikadeller (meat balls), karbonader (breaded pork patties) and medisterpolse (fried sausage). Denmark is known for its Carlsberg and Tuborg beers and for its akvavit and bitters, but amongst the Danes themselves imported wine has gained in popularity since the 1960s." from wikipedia

Yes, it is. The thing is to cook it slow. The stock becomes really rich and hearty after 4 hours in the oven. That's the only way to do it, too.

Is that karri patta as a garnish?

Irish stew is nice.

Yea, those are a tradition at our place too. I used to make a pack of voileipä (buttered bread with various toppings) wrapped in tinfoil when I worked at the local sawmill during summers when I was a teen.

Pic related is a gravlax voileipä. We eat quite a lot of fish here at west coast.

Relish

Yum, a breadless tenderloin with shrimp

Tea kinda gives me the shits tho

Guiness is the best

Gravlax is the shit

>salmon fillet with skin, salt, pinches of sugar, dill, wrap it in shrink wrap, place in the fridge overnight
>sharp knife, make 6mm or 1/4 inch wide cuts length-wise to the fillet from head to tail, don't cut through the skin, then cut sliced flesh off the skin
>nice porcelain, tin or silver tray tableware, assemble the slices on it in a neat but practical layout, don't scare people but invite them to have some

just british food except worse

the /ck/ one and also the Jow Forums one whic is rapidly expanding
our main one is he [s4s] one though

you have the potato

I had no idea it was that easy to prep at home, thanks

Yes it is that easy. Also the cuts like that will look good with salmon. You can do it with Whitefish too, ofc.

Some sushi joints in Japan work their cuts like that. I have a reason to think we here at North have done it like that for Centuries, thanks to our northern utilitarian puukko.

Puukko is Not a 12 inch long specialized thin leaf of steel for especially filleting a fish.

Puukko is a 5 inch, 1/4 inch thick blade full of Love and Care, always close to your heart :DDDD

Starving

You have to show it. Just telling it won't do.

The truth will face you, not only in the mirror but how the people you meet react to you.

The average American has 126 grams of sugar with 70 grams of fat everyday.

comparing yourself against the average person is dumb because the average person is a barely functioning retard

i probably havent had that must sugar in the last couple of months combined and its been easy as fuck, just dont eat absolutely garbage fucking food

Heh. This is a case of don't trust the American isn't it.

Who cares. I don't. I Really don't.

A serving of Pineapples and milk alone are 22 grams of sugar.

Do you not eat fruit?

>implying that most of those don't like disgusting
Do you drink it with milk? You could be developing lactose intolerance with age.

>like
look*, if you'll excuse my morning grammar

It's TERRIBLE, i dont ever want to go back to sri lanka i hate the stupid same damn food everyday

You only responded to 4 images, 3 of which look delicious and 1 of which is a doughnut. If you think they look gross, why not post stuff you find appetizing...?
