Well, the cave is a lot bigger and more cavernous than that. There's probably extreme water currents and lighting that they have to deal with. I know... Ive been in caves.

I think they've already starting doing this.

I know that one of the primary concerns about having the boys swim out is their strength. Why not use diver propulsion vehicles to help move them through the water.

The only downside I can see now is that it would be a slower process, as only so many DPVs will fit in the cave at a time. There would also have to be someone to ferry them to the boys' initial location.

They are 5km deep into the cave. It takes even trained seals 5 hours to swim to where they are in the cave, and one of those seals died.

The kids are not highly trained, can't even swim in fact, and are tired and hungry. They'd drown if they tried to swim it.
