Most other boards are really easy to explain what they are, either because its in their name or because of their board culture (Jow Forums for example is the loser board), but with Jow Forums I've found it hard to explain what it is.

It's a place where you can have some banter, enjoy some shitposting (be that anime, kot or some new OC) and then jump straight over to have an actual nice chat with other anons.
I tried to leave for another board at one point but I ended up coming right back - there is just something missing elsewhere that exists here

Jow Forums is the pinnacle of Jow Forums's autism.
It was initially created to eliminate nonpolitical stuff from Jow Forums while have the appeal of a merged board from April fool's.
It then managed to mutate, becoming a ridiculous board chock full of shitposts, forced memes and nonsensical ramblings that managed to make [s4s] seem sane. This seems to cause cringing and confusion from other larger boards, but that's precisely the reason why it's so great.

The place I have been looking for years. I wanted to socialise with people from around the world but I didn't know how to do that.
