I've been adding two sets of 50 wall pushups to my bodyweight exercises at the beginning and end and I'm already seeing a difference in terms of strength. Not a massive power spike, but rather, I can sustain my bursts of strength for longer. Been doing this for about a month now. My upper body strength is a bit weird because I can lift heavy things like full propane gas tanks around my height (I'm ~6'5) but I can't actually do proper push-ups. I can lift myself over walls, do pull ups and whatnot, but I'm not quite at push-ups level. I'm getting there bit by bit though.

have you tried variations of the push up such as diamond and cobra? i cant imagine not being able to do pull ups but not push ups, even if i do more pull ups than push ups
I never actually tried those. The only variations I would ever do are the default with arms spread shoulder width apart and hips straight, the one where you do it with your knees on the ground (I stopped it though because it was way too easy) and the wall push-ups, sometimes doing the ones where you go in for a second, push out, clap, and go in again.
