I'm pretty sure I was still playing contra on the NES at this time and watching Pokemon on tv. I was like 8. Even though I was young everything seemed okay. Kids played outside so I had friends to ride bikes with, skateboarding was still cool, Chad Muska could be seen where I lived tearing it up and overall I thought life was pretty good. Hell even my parents were happy. You could wear comfy clothes without worry of brand names and people still wore overalls.
Back then it was more about spending time with friends to have fun than anything.
