Hey Jow Forums, have you ever found and claimed anything of value, either intentionally searching with a metal detector through the beaches/rummaging through a dumpster/spelunking through abandoned places, or by chance? I once found the shell of a Stalhelm buried in the dirt while wandering the countryside.

Was there much fighting in Estonia during ww2?
Dont know much about the baltics during the war, but I know there were many german volunteers or units sent during the post ww1 independence war

Do you know from which period it is?

I found a working Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.

Estonia was occupied by the USSR, than Germany. There was a lot of fights during 1944 when we were reoccupied by the Soviets. I haven't really done much to identify it yet, but if I can remember which location I found it it would probably be able to date it from there.

Once, I found a penny from the 30s burried in the dirt.

Oh really? Was it worth a lot of money?

I once found an old coke bottle buried in the sand. Like, the super-old kind.

one time I found a twenty dollar bill blown up against a fence while it was windy
I ended up coming across a father and his daughter about a block away. They were headed the way I came from and the daughter was crying, and overhearing them it seemed rather likely the twenty belonged to the daughter and they were retracing their steps looking for it, so I gave it to them.

I Found 40$ in a bush once

I once found a small box of fishing lures floating at sea.
A few coins on a ground.

I found a fancy money clip with 12 yank $100s in it on the beach once
thing was worth $6000 dollerydoos

That's excellent! Though, isn't that worth a lot less in Australia? Still a great find.

Once, I found a lump of pyrite just sitting around in the dirt. I knew it wasn't real gold, but it was still neat.

I once found what I was quite sure was the hilt of an old sword, but I don't want to show it off for fear of it being confiscated by you know who.

Found some fossils, not sure what they’re of, I think those spiral shell ones

Nope. Just useless junk and garbage. Anything valuble was found years ago by other people who do it for a living.

some opals

Polished, or unpolished?

Probably an ominite?

Does anyone on Jow Forums have a metal detector? I've been thinking about getting one, but how reliable are they in finding good stuff?

I found a live grenade. Threw it into the lake.

I found some guy's wrist watch half-buried in the snow. It was a bit cracked, but still worked.

I once found a bikini bottom lying on the beach.

Once I found 10 golden laying on a sidewalk. And 20 golden some other time.

Polish currency?

Eye think the most valuable thing Eye've found was someone's wedding ring, but Eye couldn't keep it and decided to spend the week finding who lost it. Felt good giving it back.

I found a glass eye, no kidding.

there isn't anything of value in NZ

faggot

its worth a penny

As a kid I lived near a river where people dumped their trash long ago, if I remember correctly it was the '50s or '60s though I'm not entirely sure
Well one particularly hot season rolled around and a drought happened, revealing all the junk and cool stuff there was under the river
During the drought I found:
A small clay pot
A mangled, rusted bicycle
A variety of old Pepsi and Coke bottles
Not very interesting stuff now that I think about it, the best part was simply seeing the river almost dried up, really cool seeing a river you've known your whole life in such a different way

It was run over several times by both sides and the guerrilla fighting went on well to the 50's.

Yes, 20 golden is something over 5 bucks.

Interesting.

I found a 7 inch dildo underwater in Miami with a 2 inch dildo INSIDE

I don’t wanna y’all with u Americans

Tie it to balloons and release it.

I found a rusted out gun in the sand. Wasn't loaded or anything. Probably an old mosin.

Was it a money bush?

Did it have any shots in it?

Speaking if interesting stuff, I found one of those topkek wrappers that [s4s] likes to post, only the nearest place they're sold is several states away. Not really a treasure, but it's something that makes you think.

I never really payed attention to the ground. I did find a really old arrow head which I gave to a museum.

Knowing your region, it might not have been as old as you thought.

Mail it to your boss.

Stare at it.

I found a gold necklace that was worth several hundred rubles pawned. It was a good day that day.

For what purpose

He found a bunch of ass, apparently, while found pussy.

I found a dead rat in the bushes once, it was pretty gross. I also found an old set of car keys. A shame I'll never identify what they go to.

Multiple cell phones left behind by tourists. I don't know what do do with them.

Sell one and use the money to buy a charger for the other!

You can trade them to someone saying that they're to a safe or something.

Where does everyone find this cool stuff? All I've ever found aside from loose change is a half-melted candy bar.

By going out. Really.

Paying attention to your surroundings. Also a dog can help pick things out.

...

I once found a bottle of wine, a pack of cigarettes and a guitar on the beach (the bottle was un-opened same for the cigarettes, and the guitar was in relatively good contition)

Seems like someone was planning a gig and left.

Yeah, kinda seems like it, i checked around a bit and there was nobody there so i took the stuff home and was relatively pleased about it.

Did you play the guitar?

Yeh, i sometimes play on it.
