A lot of the exploration in morrowind for me is more than just the locations. Not only is the environment more varied and exotic but the different factions in the game are more detailed, less about making you the hero who saves the guild and more about being a member of it.

I was talking about the soundtrack but i do think it's better in general also.
Oblivions quests were great, some of my favorites were the painting one and the murder mansion.
Also had the greatest expansion ever imo.
Skyrim had some alright mods, like that one that made dragons into the macho man, but yeah oblivion completely outclassed it I'd say, you could turn people into gold and ride a magic carpet i remember in one mod.

I'm neither for or against the protagonist being important in some way, many rpg's have done it really well like planescape though i will admit that neither skyrim or oblivion are one of the better representations of that.

Even if you're ugly, you have to be confident in that being who you are. I'm not a very handsome guy, and I have not always been in great shape, but if nothing else I have always been confident because I am always comfortable with me and how I look because that is who I am.

As far as the bar, if you don't have one it can't strictly be helped. You seem to move around a lot too. I'm pretty poor though and I bought myself a cage and a bar and some other shit. It's not that expensive.

I don't really think it's vain at all.
I used to be not as good looking as i am now (and I'm still not as good looking as i want to be) and i didn't have a very high amount of confidence.
But one day i decided to clean myself up and get better and every time i see that I've made progress i get a bit more proud of myself for doing that.
Is that really vanity to be happy that you managed to better yourself, should you not be proud in your achievements?
It's hard to be just naturally confident from nothing, at least for me, there needs to be something that gets you to understand that you're worth something, and if that's looks then i don't really see the issue.
I still don't really feel like spending the money on a bar even if it is cheap.
Friendship meter was only supposed to be a dumb reference to certain games, no need to get sassy.
I'll tell you if i feel like bulking up, right now i just want to focus on getting my body closer to what i like.

I think you’re right on this one, the confidence you get from looking better is not fake. I would say everyone gets more confident if they think they look good on a particular day.

I agree with this, user. The guild detail in Skyrim felt very 2D since you were catapulted to the top positions. I would like the next one to return to a more discrete role within guilds and also add many more missions that vary by rank.
