I'll stick with pre 70s
And stuff that hasn't been recommended

Rear window
Vertigo
Psycho) Hitchcock
The day the earth stood still
The invisible man
Night of the living dead
Sound of music
Zulu

Anything by Andrei Tarkovsky, also Picnic at the Hanging Rock by Peter Weir

I haven’t watch the Manuescript Found in Saragossa but I heard it was good.
Persona is my favourite film by Igmar Bergman, if I forgot to say that. Jean Cocteau is fantastic, and so is Herman Perrie Melville‘s adaption of Les Enfants Terribles and le corbeau is also a great film of the period. Jean Eustache made two films but he is great, watch them both and his best is The Mother and The Whore

NP
I could probably name a few more but I'm coming up blank.
Maybe also try house of wax (1953) and the last man on Earth (1964) the second one isn't really a classic but it's alright, both star Vincent Price though so that makes them pretty good by me.

120 days of sodom lol

Movies like Little Caesar really interest me, do you have any other recommendations?

I personally recommend Strangers on a train and Affair in Trinidad if you haven't seen those.

Blue, and the sequel, White, and Red, and Pretty in Pink, and Blue Valentine, and Blue Velvet.

Not so much from the 30s. Though I recommend you really see Duck You Sucker.

I guess it depends on what you mean by movies like Little Caesar, movies from the 30s? Gangster movies? Or?

mainly movies from the 30s and 40s
