that's just a strange American myth about Canadian bacon, we eat the exact same bacon as you do and just call it bacon. Canadian bacon is called "back bacon" here mostly and mostly sold in fairly thick slices.. not many people eat it regularly that I know, although I like it but I'm trying to avoid pork in general myself.. I used to eat fuck tons of bacon.
