do you have a campus owned one? back when i used to live on north campus there was a campus owned chipotle knock off which was strictly worse but took the meal plan and was really close to my dorm.
i feel like im eating the same four things this year all the time but i like them so who cares.

yeah, it sucks but i dont want to have a car so that takes groceries out of the question. meal plan isn't too bad, at least i can eat a lot.
university run thing that lets you get food from campus owned places. mine for example gives you 14 "swipes" a week which are worth 8 dollars, then it also gives you 200 dollars of money to spend at only university owned places at a 35% discount. and then 150$ on your student debit card that you can use at any place in the city.

for us it's basically you get 14 "meals" a week + 300 "plus dollars" for the semester
you can either use a meal to get into the cafeteria and eat as much as you want, or as $6.25 anywhere else on campus. you can also spend the plus dollars as regular money anywhere on campus.
the trick is that they say "oh you get like 300 plus dollars for about $100! 3x the value!" and then double the price of everything on campus so a burger costs $5

compared to buying groceries, absolutely not. but it's incredibly convenient. i have an app on my phone where i pop in what i want and i walk downstairs 5-10 minutes later and pick it up and walk back upstairs since i live right above one of the campus owned places. food is pretty clean if you watch what you get too which is nice when trying to get in shape.

for burgers you can get the same amount of (albeit slightly lower quality) burger at mcdonald's for about $3 instead, or same amount of burger + fries + a drink for the same $5
stuff like chains on campus (like subway or coke products or something) have to be a standard price in order not to piss off the companies, so it is decent value if all you ever eat is subway, chic fil a, and einstein's.
on the other end of the spectrum lunchables cost about $4.50 a pack on campus or under $2 a pack if i drive 10 minutes to the closest walmart
