as much as i would enjoy a clean area of just rm discussion, the one place for that was taken away and made a home for the ruskie branch, in my opinion desuch is all that is left, and the small branch that we had here, which was continuing to wither away with time, this newer generation is not going to find the same joys in rozen maiden, as some did. just have to make due with what is available, and left.
Answer me this great Desu sage. I've seen the Desu meme and found it cute and silly but enjoyable. If this is the case, is the show worth watching or is it more for the joy of Suiseiseki and thats about it?

Yes, it's really good, watch it. Sui isn't even the main heroine, Shinku is. But Shinku doesn't really have a fixation over one word like other dolls, so nobody cares about her.

Great, have fun. Just keep in mind that Souseiseki is the best doll and if you do not think so at any point after her introduction, you should reconsider.
i am a newfag in comparison to some of the regulars here, and other places. But to answer your question: Rozen maiden is a series I personally cannot compare to any other, it tells a different tale of how a young boy caught in the motions of dropping out of school and taking on the life of a neet, with parent never around and at the care of his older sister, who continuously goes through lengths to keep at least of a strand of an emotional tie as he continues down the rabbit hole of reclusiveness. without telling the story, these dolls come into his life the day he finds a key and is left with a decision, throughout the journey he learns a bit more about his self and the problems that have been haunting him leading him to this destructive lifestyle, also gains a level of introspection of how this life has effected others around him. each and every doll has had a level of influence on him through out the story as he witnesses the Alice game. that is just the main character, each doll has a bit of a history of their own, but thats for you to find out when you read the manga, or the series. -but i do advise reading the manga.-

So, if I'm understanding this right it is not just a show about the Alice game but instead it focuses on the psychological development of the characters with the game as more of a plot device to keep the story moving forward?

You should unironically do both since some stuff is unique to each of them. the second season of the anime is actually it's own story loosely base on the second story arch of the manga.There's a whole character that doesn't even exist in the manga and obviously the manga continues after the point the third season left of. And the three (I think) episode special/OVA is also original it just struck me is overture just a pun on OVA?

PD, i have to say I respect that you have stuck around, one thing that s important is that tradition is key. if its one thing that makes boards great is the content creators that stick by them, This is still a very young board, it has no clue what it wants to be yet, even though is has been a year, I personally have not given up on Jow Forums i feel it has promise to be a bring some fresh air to this site, not that its terrible, but for "/b/tard" standards, it has promise, and that will keep it going.

Thanks for making this thread though, I've finally picked up the manga. I have just began, so I can only say that damn Shinku is way cuter than in the anime. I mean, in appereance.
