I don't believe NASA whatsoever but the flat earth shit is meant to specifically throw you off how it -really- works and meant to act as a means to control opposition. Space is fake, but the Earth is a globe. That's the truth. The implications of parts of the Flat Earth theory are there but the actual shape is a globe -- space itself is a skybox that stretches to an infinite event horizon. We can put stuff in low-Earth orbit but the rest is nonsense. How localized the skybox is would also be up to debate. I personally am inclined to believe that it's just the Earth and moon (which is in the Earth's orbit) and beyond that it skyboxes, but it could also equally easily be the solar system (because of the zodiac, etc.) and THEN it skyboxes.

The whole 'Earth is flat' nonsense is easily disproven by a variety of factors and ultimately just serves to act as a point of contention.

Let me ask you this -- if you were really concerned with the truth would you be more interested in the overall general implications of 'Flat Earth' or do you just have a boner for the shape itself? Toroids and Globes generate fields, not planes. It's very easy to reason that it is not flat.

That said -- please convince me otherwise. Don't be so focused on one thing that you become dogmatic... that's the NPC-tier behavior that I caution everyone here against. I think that many paths exist purely as controlled opposition or a means by which to sort "unruly" NPCs or NPCs which have the potential to escape their mental cages.
