opinions on Moto Z vs HTC 10?

Old and shit

Touch response rate is cut when screen fps is limited

The Global version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro supports the sprint network here in US via LTE band 41, but sprint sucks cock, their network is shared by a fuckload of other carriers like boost mobile/virgin mobile that also work on B41, but I don't know if I could just walk in there and get a plan for an obscure chinese phone that was just released this fucking month, it's definitely not on the (iphones only) section of virgin, or the bland list of samsung phones and iphones for boost mobile as compatible devices, BUT I KNOW IT'S COMPATIBLE. Anyone here got any insight on this?

Attached: Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-5-Pro.jpg (652x540, 26K)

Sprint uses a device whitelist, only phones approved by them will work so it'll not work even if it was compatible

My grandma needs a new phone, should be cheap and have whatsapp. Touchscreen is actually a disadvantage. What can you recommend?

Ah, that's gay. So no way to get the Redmi Note 5 Pro to work in US?

Guys after buying 2 Dawei and several sammy phones and all of them did not received a single fucking update because of the regional OTA updates BS I need a phone that doesn't deal with this crap and I'm thinking of going for xaomi this time is it worth getting the Xaomi MI A1 from what I hear it's global and it doesn't depend of regional updates bs.

Attached: really made me think.png (225x225, 4K)

The Global version has Band 4 LTE so it's partially supported on AT&T and T-Mobile

I thought it was only B1/B3/B5/B40/B41 because this said so:

Haru best girl, mizuha a shit.

I went for the chinese Redmi Note 5, it has Treble support so you'll get AOSP roms fast.

I'm an outdoorsy guy and work at a swimming pool. What would be a good outdoors/waterproof jacket for xiaomi mi a1

>Front camera: 20 MP
That's not the Global version, it's the Pajeet version. Here's the actual Global version:

I cant deal with MIUI EMUI crap. I want stock android.

Install lineage and deal with it.

hey lads, I will be buying the galaxy s9+ this saturday.
It's really the best choice imo in comparison with a huawei p10 and iphones.
What do you guys say?
I'm just really excited about treble tbqh since I can easily port lineageos on that device.

Do unlocked phones from best buy come bloatfree?
Trying to de-jewgle as much as possible, current shitbrick had a stroke when I deleted the play store

Well, not the best choice, since S8+ does the same and costs less. In the comparing between the latter, yes - would go with samsung.
Treble and camera maybe are only two advantages of S9+, so if you are into this, hop on the train, son!

HTC 10, screen is SLCD as opposed to OLED like on the Moto Z, but after trying both I definitely preferred the HTC 10.

hope it is an exynos variant, since the snapdragon comes with a locked bootloader meaning no lineageOS + treble goodness

Get her a blackberry.

No thanks

Get fucked then.

Is there a site that can recommend me a cross section of budget phones available in my country rather than having to manually research and compare?

What music player and additional apps (viper4android, etc.) should I use to get the most out of my phone's DAC?

Exynos Note 4 if it makes a difference.

it is the exynos variant since I live in naziland

Does anyone have a coupon or something to get a cheap 5T on Amazon?

XA2 y or n?

If anyone is interested in a good FOSS anti-theft app, I suggest Prey. It saved my ass recently.

why are other people using the wrong thread
jfc

What carrier do you use for your chinkphone if you are in the US? I have heard mintsim was good.

is the Xiaomi mix 2 really that bad?

Give me a quick run down on how shitty it is please

I'm so fucking tired of chinkphones with their shitty android versions and I feel absolutely crippled with iOS.

wat do

dont buy a chinkphone or an iphone
plenty of options otherwise lol

I dunno man. I mean, I'm tired of having no updates or them taking fucking months/years to arrive. The entire market feels so fucking shitty right now.

I'm looking for something with a clean version of android with good camera, battery life, a screen of 5.5"+ with thin bezels. I absolutely love the design of the galaxy s8 but I'm hesitant to buy samsung and get like 2 updates and that's it.

New nokias?

Which ricing/widget app do I use for my redmi?

Anyone?

why is the Nokia 8 almost £100 cheaper than the 7 plus.

It isn't. Stop redflagging.

I have an order pending for a redmi note 4. Is there anything better in the ~$250 range or should I pull the trigger?

Redmi Note 5 (SD636 version)

Or, rather, I guess I should say is there any better value proposition out right now? I don't mind spending a bit more if I can get something that's going to last me a while. Upgrading from an S3.

It's really nice but I'm looking at a 2 month plus wait to get one. Rather just get something decent & cheap now and see what's out a year or two from now.

Nokia 1 vs. other Asian smartphone that doesn't cross Nokia's price? The reason I'm interested in Nokia is because it says that it'll be shipped with Android 8.1 out of the box and I don't think that Chinese manufacturers update theirs at all. Are Go versions of the apps really bad?

Attached: catlick.jpg (800x474, 36K)

I just got a moto e4 (XT1775)
I'm a brainlet
how do I root it relatively safely?

What do I replace that following botnet apps with
>Android messages
>Gboard
>Google Calendar
>Google Contacts
>Google Photos
>Phone app
>Calculator
>Clock

Are phones with fewers cores/more Ghz faster than 10 cores which advertise the same speed?

Also what's a phone with 3GB+ and 64GB space for just 150 euros?

I want to buy a cheap one to last me 2 years before I upgrade to something better.
Smartphone performances have sky rocketed in the last year. They're almost becoming PCs.

Best grill.

niggerbob ghettopants

Xiaomi Mi A1

Ziploc® bags.

Reason to get this over the Note 4?

depends on what cores they have, Shapdragon 820 with 4 cores clocked at 1.8 ghz or 2.15 in Moto Z is faster than deca core mediatek helio x20

>Android Messages
Use Silence from F-Droid
>Gboard
Hacker's Keyboard from F-Droid

First install LineageOS without GApps and install fdroid
>Android messages
Silence
>Gboard
Default keyboard app or hackers keyboard
The rest just use the LineageOS defaults

Is there any reason as to why you should install lineage OS?
I had cyanogen on my M8 a few years ago and it ruined the audio, really put me off it

hey boys, so i have the option to buy a few specific phones through a friend who can get them for me for much better prices than the usual. since i am limited to this list i would like to know what you all think about it?

Samsung Galaxy S9
Samsung Galaxy A8 2018
LG G6
Huawei Mate 10 Pro
Huawei P10 Lite

You just described the Nokia 7 plus.

I think the current Nokia 8 that's on sale is the 2017 model, while the 7 plus is 2018.

They’re a lighter version, since the phone only has 8GB. Hopefully they’ll run well despite the specs like apps did on kitkat.

The CIA and NSA really dont want you buying huawei, so get one of those

S9 is the best on the list.

LG G6 never gets updates

Huawei is an arm of the chink government

Fuck Samsung and Apple, give me the best phone outhere, I dont care about the price I care about performance, even the Oneplus chink runs faster than Sam and Apple, so who's the king of cellphones?

Attached: 1522119203645.png (774x513, 324K)

ha! i don't live in the united states! yos.
right then. so S9.

S9plus is the king baby, so fuck you

XZ2/XZ2c

>4 ram

I wish ads were still that fun.

>Fuck Samsung and Apple
i mean if you want a hipster phone just buy an old lumia

Is the MI A1 worth it over the note 4 and the 4x?

Attached: feafeaoufoaeufaoaom.png (856x108, 12K)

no xiameme phones are worth it
get them free or dont bother

Please don't meme me. I'm not looking to get memed. I just want a cheap/decent phone.

Guys, I just upgraded from my Nexus 5 to Pixel 2 xl. I've never done anything fancy with my N5 and only used default apps, but this time I would like to use my new phone to the fullest. What are somethings I should do and download right off the bat with the Pixel to help me with the experience?

ordering a xiaomeme would be the biggest meme in your life
unless you get it for free...
good luck
and dont fuck it up

just use it how you like

But its only presale atm?

It depends.

The Snapdragon 650 Hexacore (Redmi Note Pro 3) is faster than the 625 (Note 4, Mi A1) Octacore. The Helio X20 Decacore (Note 4 MTK version) is faster than the 625, but slower than the 650 iirc.

The MTK X20 version of the Note 4 is faster than the Snapdragon 625 version (Mi A1 is 625 too), but either version of the Note 4 is 4000mah battery vs 3000mah of the Mi A1, but the Mi A1 has USB C, dual camera etc.

Got the Redmi Note 3 Pro on presale years ago, best all round phone I ever used. I smashed it too hard recently so part of the touch screen at the bottom is unresponsive.

The only real issue I see is the Note 4 and Mi A1 have less processing power than the Note 3 Pro.

Super good deal on Snapdragon 625 phone, about $135 USD

gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_1524275.html?wid=11

3GB/32GB no microSD, but USB C, 4000mah.

There's similar in Helio X20 version with 4GB/64GB.

>Tfw my Note 4 and Z3 still going strong
Will replace them soon tho

thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy S9

ya

Sorry thats meant to be 652 which is high performing not 625.

Also found better one, Helio X27, higher performing than 652, plus 4GB/64GB, NFC, etc

its on aliexpress

Poorfag here
Old phone is giving out. I could afford a new chinkphone, but what are my options for cheap plans? Seems like services like Republic, Ting all want you using their (expensive, locked down) phones. I could probably get by with SMS/Voip over wifi until I get out of school and get a real job.

Is sailfish OS good for privacy or is it just meme?

Also, here's best side character in any VN.

Attached: best.jpg (799x598, 164K)

Where do you download paid apps?

>LeReeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Help me decide. LeEco Le Pro 3 AI edition or wait for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.

Pros (for LeEco): $200 AUD right now, similar antutu score to SD636 in Xiaomi, 4GB/64GB, USB C, NFC, 4000mah like Xiaomi

Cons (for LeEco): no SD slot (maybe okay with 64gb), not 18:9 meme, not dual camera meme.

Help?

I'm not seeing aproblem except lack of SD slot which would be frustrating now that the SanDisk a1 128gb microsd is out and cheap

Redmi note 3 pro is like 2 years old bro

What is the best way to remove bloat on the S9?

Will there ever be a phone with a HW decoder for x264 10 bit? If not, how well can a Snapdragon 835 SW decode it? My phone with an 810 chugs and gets really hot ;_;

Attached: 1520963514968.gif (300x300, 429K)

I meant 5 Pro with the SD 636, I have the 3 Pro now, and had it since presale.
