>jump the PSU motherboard plug from the rear
Assuming you're doing as in the picture (aka paperclip testing), I'm not sure how you're doing that while it's plugged into the motherboard? A paperclip test does not fully test PSU functionality either. You need to check if it is outputting the correct voltage per line with a voltmeter.

In any case, I would recommend breadboarding your PC. Do you have anything else plugged in? Start off with just the bare essentials to power it on; Plug in your motherboard and PSU together but nothing else. No ram, no gfx card, no hdd, etc... then boot it up either by shorting the power on the motherboard itself or via front panel connectors. If successful, add each component one at a time and booting it once more. Rinse and repeat.

It's essentially process of elimination. But if all fails, it might just be faulty hardware either motherboard or PSU. Being brand new does not mean it won't be prone to potential issues. RMA's exist for a reason. If you have another PSU, you could try and test that with your motherboard. Finally, try to see if you can test your wall outlet's integrity/try another outlet if possible.

im doing a factory reset on my windows 8 HP laptop because its going pretty slow
and there are two options - to clean the drive fully, and to remove my files, and it says that i should just remove my files if im planning to keep the laptop
will the second option be enough if i want my laptop to run as it used to? fully cleaning takes much more time

Which chair should I buy? It doesn't need to be a meme gaming chair, however I do spend about 10 hours/day in front of the pc, so if it's comfy, I'll take it.
Price range is 200-300.

so I downloaded virtualbox, and it automatically put the VDI on my C drive which is my SSD, when I'd rather have that on my D drive (HDD). How do i change the location of the VDI, do I have to reinstall virtualbox on my D drive or can I have virtualbox on my C drive while having the VDI on my D drive?

Say you owned a store and a buddy came in and you offered that buddy a discount on your goods, due to the relationship you share-

What would American's call that?

Somebody redpill me please.
I'm having a problem by setting up SSH to my Pi server. I'd like to reach it from my phone when I'm not home.

>Installed openssh-client and openssh-server on my Pi
>Having a static public IP
>PasswordAuthentication: no
>PubkeyAuthentication: yes
>Specified a port number for SSH
>Enabled port forwarding on my router on the specified port

This is where things got confusing for me.
I used ssh-keygen (without a passphrase, does it matter?), then got a private key and a public key. Which one is for my Phone and how do I connect to the server now? I need to get the key on my phone somehow if I understand it right.
I also have no idea how do I give the key to PuTTY to access my Pi server from my Home network, I hope somebody can help me out.

I still need to setup nftables & fail2ban to finish and make it secure.
Did I miss something?
What else should I do to keep unwanted guests out of my network?

Thanks in advance Jow Forumsuys!
