My uncle got me a job at Intel, salary is near 90k with benefits, free Lyft ride to work and gym membership. I'm only 22, suck it.

i find it rather more amusing that both middle and senior positions have the same distribution of experience required.

My dad got me a job at nintendo and asian tranny hookers tongue my asshole three times daily

>"require"

they just put it in there, it's not strict. if you're persistent or have the right connections you can land an interview and from there you just need to not suck.

>graduate college
>start my own company
>make bad decisions
>keep company a float for 3 years
>declare bankruptcy
>now you have 3 years experience working at all levels.
>if you can try to start a company in college
>or drop out and just start one and learn "the hard way" instead of sucking professor dick and eating a textbook a week for lunch.

>Graduate top of my class
>Instantly get hired by hot startups

Apply anyway. We all can dream and so can companies.

Yes, you are expected to find internships and relevant part time jobs while studying. This counts as experience.

I don't understand why Jow Forums is always somehow surprised by this.

>copy big companies model
>get attention and page visits
>become a thorn in their side
>get bought out for hundreds of millions

are americans really this cucked? are you actually supposed to spend 3 years of your time while studying simultaneously doing internships for free?

So you want everything handed to you?

I'm not even American user, I'm Norwegian. I worked my way through university because I had to support myself financially, and I gained relevant experience with it.

>I want a decent life
>HURR DURRR YOU WANT EVERYTHING HANDED TO YOU ON A SILVER PLATTER

Americans think they're "free" but they're among the least free people in the world. Fucked in all three holes by the corporations, the politicians, and the police. It's hilarious.

People live for 80+ years. If you've been doing the same job for 3 years and don't think you're entry level, don't be surprised if your job gets outsourced to Pakistan.

Meanwhile pajeet just gets every job anyway with his many PhDs from something somewhere. This is your life as a cuck.

I couldn't find a job because all starter and junior jobs required experience.
Then I started my own business.
And now nobody wants to hire me because I own a business.

So, I'm going to try a different approach. My current resume is entirely fictional.

You're just angry you didn't put in the minimum required effort.

>be from a post-communist eastern europe semi-shithole
>study CS because "sysadmins can do little work and get paid"
>slowly work my way through multiple jobs
>assistant > helpdesk > junior sysadmin > db admin > etl specialist > programmer > sysadmin > systems dev > senior sysadmin > senior devops
>finally after ~9 years in the industry I'm earning 85k euro a year - 7% VAT, - 19% income tax
>I'm making 2-3x more than most of my friends
>working remotely, traveling wherever I want
>almost 200k euro in savings/investments
I took a bit of time, but I think I've finally made it. But let me tell you, it was no walk in the park.

People like make me a bit salty.

>are americans really this cucked? are you actually supposed to spend 3 years of your time while studying simultaneously doing internships for free?
Are businesses really this cucked? are they actually supposed to hire people with zero experience and train them while simultaneously paying them a full salary and benefits?

Can't you just make the business in someone else's name and be the only employee?

Aren't most of those fake universities and easily available for anyone?
I remember some resumes just copy and pasting role descriptions as it's what they know.

Someone has to train them, especially if it's a specialty.

No, that would give me a huge administrative burden.

>Finish uni
>Work at my fathers company
>Inherit the company
>Continue to expand
If you though that Bill Gates got rich over night think again.
He didnt work hard either.

When they used to do that, they earned employee loyalty but now that they treat employees like commodities instead of investments, people are willing to quit at the drop of a hat for a 50 cent raise.

Which makes for a less pleasant but more competitive and lucrative job market.

To each their own I guess.

I fucking hate this place so much. Never coming on Jow Forums again.

You need to start a company to get rich in this world.

So, are you going to respond to or not?

So how does it feel to have reached the ceiling of your earning potential?

>Working for anyone but yourself
You brought this upon yourselves.

It sounds like you're proud of your handout.

Businesses all over the capitalist world wouldn't have adapted that strategy if it wasn't beneficial to them.

No internship I have ever seen in a STEM field has been unpaid. Most of those unpaid internships are actually illegal. I've done three different internships and each paid around $16-24/hr.

>work for free
>get anything at all
Lucky he wasn't decapitated for having a copyrighted idea inside his head

What is that bearded guy doing in the background? Imaginary lifting?

tfw lots of job offers from great companies but can't pass any of the hair tests :(

why is this even a thing? I'm fucking 22 for christs sake let me live a little

He's just lifting the rod, and staring at her ass.

>doing internships for free
No, we actually get paid here.

Nepotism at its finest.

Internships are usually paid. They're not paid very well, but they at least give you experience and a chance to build a network.

stop fucking doing drugs you idiot

Wait, which companies are allowed to just randomly test their candidates for drug use?

>hair tests
What like a proper haircut? I look like the second coming and did fine, West Coast best coast.

In Australia they do it here, no one wants a drugged cunt at work

>but more competitive and lucrative job market.
Yes, but for whom?

>like a proper haircut
>mfw

In Norway, there was an american company that drug tested a candidate, and the company was forced to publically apologize in the papers due to the public outrage from it. Apparently, it's bad form to assume that your interview candidates are addicts.

Ah, that makes more sense, I don't remember the last time I got drug tested at a job.

Started as Level 2 IT Tech at a Fortune 500 company with 19. Moved up 3 times within 5 years and ended up as an it security engineer.
Once I put that title+certs on linkedin I got a fuckton of job offers, went with a consulting company. 117k€, mostly remote work and some traveling.

Life is good in IT.

Also, a company isn't legally allowed to refuse to hire you if you refuse to do a drug test.

It's like pleading the fifth, and everyone knows you're fucking guilty

>117k eur
Daaaaaaamn son.
That's gross right? Please tell me it's gross.

>security engineer
How liable are you in case of a security fuckup?

But the point is, if the company does this, they're basically fucked from a PR point of view. So the result is that nobody does drug tests, and rather leave it up to the police if there is any real suspicion that you're intoxicated at work and operating heavy machinery for example.

(Here in aus)They will ask if they can:
check your crim history
drug test you
you don't have to say yes, but you will not get the job at all if you refuse.

>That's gross right?
Yeah, to make >100k net you gotta be some high tier manager. Or a banker.

>How liable are you in case of a security fuckup?
Not at all. I am not freelancing, I am working for a consulting company with a shitton of lawyers whos job it is to make contracts bulletproof.

This is the federal government's fault. Now that everyone and their grandma can go to college basically for free if they're poor, the job market is saturated with 4 year college degrees and they're absolutely worthless.

You leftist cancer that invaded my board are directly at fault for the policies that lead to these ridiculous interview requirements.

>Yeah, to make >100k net you gotta be some high tier manager. Or a banker.
Right, I was worried for a minute there because I did have a chance to go down the security route 2 years ago and I didn't take it. I was wondering how much more I could be making. But I like what I'm doing.

Managing fleets of hundreds of servers with a few edits in a config file and a cli tool feels pretty boss.

>Not at all. I am not freelancing
Ah, that makes sense then. Good for you man, rock on.

>check your crim history
That's illegal in Norway except for a handful of jobs where you need a special permission from the police (such as caring for elderly or mentally ill, nurses, police officers, working with child protection service etc).

>drug test you
Companies can do this in Norway if the employer himself consents to it, but they aren't allowed to use lack of consent against you. Basically, you're not allowed to force anyone to do a drug test.

>you don't have to say yes, but you will not get the job at all if you refuse.
You can not legally do this in Norway, but of course, you can say it was because of something else instead. However, if the press hears about it, the company will get publicly lynched.

3 years experience... University + working during uni + helping out as a kid/church/etc. There's a thousand ways to get 3 years experience. Last ditch effort is joining the military, get 4 years professional experience and suck cock, get a degree in the military - getting out and having no debt + experience and use your GI bill for a masters.

But, it's still bullshit.

every company so far lmao

Move to a country that respects your rights.

Does >3 years experience in professional shitposting count?

>got mine fuck you
spoken like a boomer.

Where? Norway?

And by "drugs" I mean smoking weed sometimes and adderall at parties occasionally

Not only Norway. Same in Germany (unless lyou operate heavy machinery) and I'd bet many other free European countries

It's experience but I'm not sure it's valuable.

>Where? Norway?
For example

>And by "drugs" I mean smoking weed sometimes and adderall at parties occasionally
Weed is fairly simple to find here and the police recently decided they will stop fining people buying it for personal use.

Adderall is a bit harder, as it is considered A-level controlled prescription drug. But it's not impossible, you just have to buy it from someone with prescription.

Do they dress like Peach?

>weed is not a drug
As an employer I would have you blacklisted you dumb shit

based

Did none of you intern or work while in college?

You're expected to either schmooze your way in into an internship in your first year of school, accept half the pay your work is worth, or be an indian on a visa

Ya and guess what? You'll never be anyones boss so your hypothetical will never be true :)

Never gotten tested and am comfortably working right now. Refuse to work for anyone doing tests.

They obviously didn't, that's why they are graduated yet unemployable.

>expecting to be paid for your work is entitlement now

this is your world on libertarianism

employer at mcdonalds maybe lmao

No, internships here are paid and you do them in summer breaks during your university years.

In 2 years time Americans are going to be cucked by every 3rd world country because of their backwards, non progressive views

Who would want to work for a cuck like you anyway.

Keep dreaming Sven.

I don't think that's how it works. China is even harder on drugs and they're doing rather well.

Yeah but only because they got that slavery thing going for them

Then maybe the US should go backwards and bring back slavery.

When the fuck was I supposed to do programming related work? I would have classes all morning, my job (which I did to pay my bills) delivering pizza in the afternoon, and then would do my homework at night. I had no fucking time at all to intern. I looked all over and couldn't find any internships which were compatible with my schedule, nor any that could compensate me enough so I could quit my other job.

>everyone is a retard like me
projection much?

You should know.
I don't work in USA.

People that need money do.
Some of them are smart enough to avoid drugs during hiring process.

>tfw no experience or degree
>tfw just had some shit thrown up on github
>tfw people reached out to me and asked me to work for them
>tfw now make 300k a year just looking at code occasionally and fingering my anus
Jealous?

I didn't because all offered internships were unpaid, and I outright refuse to work for free.
After graduating, however, I had no problem finding well-paid jobs anyway.
In case you're wondering, I live in Italy.

you don't use toys?

This can unironically happen if you're lucky.

>>tfw now make 300k a year [...] fingering my anus
Not really user, not judging but I have morals. Hope your porn/prostitution career works out for you though.

>thinking mcdonalds is in US only
>calling others retarded

Isn't time to get back to your shift, Ronald?

>his school doesn't do work placement

Shit school desu

Libertarians are against government handouts, you mouthbreather, they are the people most likely to agree with you.

in fairness, there are an awful lot of obsolete and mentally challenged folks and the government or some retarded family is cucked enough to keep them alive for some reason.

the three year thing is the new pleb filter for these shitty companies.

>be german
>go to one of the best universities in the country pretty much for free
>only have to pay back a fraction of my student loans due to good grades
>accept high paying job in switzerland right after uni to avoid high taxes in germany
