I honestly think it started in the late 80s, early 90s. Starting from the 00s especially is when people started to lose that "decade defining" look. Shit especially now is either so plain, or made really ugly.

For me it would be the 60s. I know it's when the decline into degeneracy started, but I think the 60s had just the right balance of cute, sultry, and modest. Man I wish this style was brought back.
No it started in the 60s with the flaired sleeves and baggy jeans. Beatnik generation added to it. But the major shift happened in the 20s when women starred wearing high heels and skinny pants.
Any man who cares about fashion at all is gay. You just need to look presentable enough to find a decent woman, if you think about fashion beyond this then you are a homosexual.

Also it is important to remember that the styles remembered from that time may not have been an accurate representation of the society as a whole. Like remember when goth shit was popular?
