No idea but it's not necessary fishy since a lot of companies have a main company and then a branded one for the product. E.g. Unilever owns a shitload of companies but they have a separate company for each product. Same with Google, they created Alphabet Inc. and now Google is a part of that instead of being the main company.

I actually went from PIA to Nord. Not because of any privacy issues though. Their mobile app sucks and disconnects me from the VPN all the time. It's annoying as fuck to manually reconnect all the time.Also, this means I'm missing a lot of important notifications since I don't have a connection. It's "trying" to connect to the VPN which makes me have no internet access
