Cute headphones.

Nice headphones.
Kanna a cute. A cute!
Shimarin a cute. A cute!

I did some comparison between KSC75s and PortaPros.
At first I noticed that the 75s were much leaner and brighter, and that was immediately noticable. So then I swapped around their respective retainers (band and clips) and still noticed the 75s sounding leaner and brighter, but less so, and also, strangely quieter overall (but louder than with the clips).
So i swapped the PADS.
Well, after swapping pads back and forth, I noticed the strangest anomaly of all... They suddenly had their characteristics reversed.

People always talk about how the 75s' titanium coated driver sounds brighter than the PortaPros, however what I think is really happening is Porta Pro owners buy the 75s out of curiosity, don't swap the band onto them, and reference them to Porta Pros with worn out pads that allow the driver to sit way too close to the ear.
BTW, when those pads wear out the headphones sound like shit. I always used to wonder why the PortaPros sounded worse over time, it's because I'm a dipshit and never replaced the pads, which eventually compress and become unsupportive (also rendering them more uncomfortable)

just picked these bad boys up. best quality headphones I've ever experienced, love them.

Attached: rsjvegmdjzqrz8cpqd2w.jpg (800x450, 28K)

>but less so
Because of the clamping force.
Interesting discovery on the pads. I've always assumed they sounded the same and the distance of driver to ear was the cause of the difference in perceived bass response. Looks like I was right all along.
They sell I think like 8 packs or some shit of the pads for like 5 bucks.

>the best headphones I have ever used are wireless botnet earbuds
Wow.

Discuss.

Attached: 1521788064839.png (831x2313, 400K)

wow indeed. these things had me saying "wow" from the moment I opened the package. I love the Google assistant integration too. absolutely amazing!

I suppose the titanium coating MIGHT play a very small role in percieved frequency response, but happily it's a minute difference if at all.

The earpads are definitely the biggest influencer. I didn't even find the temporal adjustment to make as much of a difference as simply using new pads. I immediately ordered a new pack of pads off Amazon upon comparing.
It also raises my curiosity over alternative pad options.

>I love the Google assistant integration too
You mean the 1984 telescreen.

I remember reading about some pleather pads that fit them that turn them into bass cannons.

I've definitely seem worse taste from the masses, the iem choices especially odd, I hear good things about most of the ones in that list.

Right here nigga. Thinking about adding some chinkshit in the mix with a takstar pro 82 for when I'm not trying to hear my surroundings.
Marketing is extremely effective. I don't think a single one of those headphones would qualify as listenable.
They're shit and so are you.

Attached: hd65-.jpg (2280x1286, 1.23M)

I think the ideal Choice would be a small velour pad that raises them about as much or slightly more than stock, but there's virtually zero velour options at that size.

WHERE ARE THE FEET

The Panasonic IEMs at number one are bass cannons, but they have surprisingly low THD for the price so they're good for EQ. They're known to be very comfortable, too. I suppose they're popular precisely because they are bass cannons.

>They're shit and so is your hairline

HD25 velour are the smallest I can think of.

you are correct! it is like something out 1984 except it isn't malicious and it exists purely to make my life easier and more organized! Google assistant is truly the most functional and most advanced ai assistant on the market and it's all thanks to Google's incredible machine learning algorithms and programming. truly a marvel of our modern times!

It's easter calm your fucking revolting fetish for misshapen by evolution stumps that smell for one god damn day in His name.
Hey faggot, my hairline is the best in the thread. This was established like 5 threads ago. Post set up

How are you finding the 6XX's user?

>Bengoo
Sounds like some guy named Ben's semen.
>that smell
But that's the best part, user.

pic related is my setup! I can't get enough of these high end, amazing products!

right you are again, user! Google is totally not malicious. all data collection is purely to make your browsing experience completely made for you, all ads are directed at you based on your interests and thanks to machine learning YouTube only shows you videos that we think you'd like to view based on browsing history. even pornhub collects data and displays the best porn for you based on recent searches.

They're not significantly worse than the lcd2 or he500 which both cost way more so that's pretty impressive. Lack of sub-bass is notable coming from planars but there is plenty of midbass, vocals are just perfect, treble is recessed but I wanted that. Sometimes after listening to my he500 for like 7-8 hours the treble gets fatiguing so I wanted recessed treble.
tl;dr: the sennshills were right all along

sorry I forgot pic. here is pic related!

EW

>we are trying this hard to be Apple, only more evil

incredible! globalism is the future and you know it well! by working together as a one world economy and one world super power led by the freedoms granted by the American constitution, (except China and India who will continue to work for free to create high end products with slave labor) we will be able to journey into the Galaxy and working together we'll be able to defeat whatever alien scum that may threaten humanity's American values all led by Google of course.

>extremely wonderful
yes I think so as well!

what's apple?

At this point I must give you credit for autistic larping dedication. Bravo. You've bravely run the joke into the ground far farther than most of us would be willing to.

>I don't think a single one of those headphones would qualify as listenable.
QC35 are quite excellent sounding. I've heard them at a Best Buy. I was shocked.

The Custom Studios lack the typically excessive Beyer treble, user.

That's cool, I'll try a pair if I ever see one at a store. I never did find a portable I liked so I'm still using a gr07/m50 neither of which I enjoy.
One day the hardware will be so cucked that shit like that will be considered not-botnet.

We must start building FOSS hardware now.

i want those earpads

So are you saying that calling people niggers and making fun of soyheiser keeps redditors away from /hpg/?

Lets get to work nigger. I'm in need of a chinkshit portable. Will any IEM sound better than a takstar pro82?
hd6x0 best headphone byyy the way

Etymotics, obviously.

What if I don't want to cram dildos in my ear? Don't ety's also have very high distortion?

>Don't ety's also have very high distortion?
No. Where the fuck did you read that?

>Don't ety's also have very high distortion
Well the question was what is the IEM equivalent of the hd6x0

Yeah etys are literally unlistenable and are a distorted mess

also this thread smells of poo

You're being sarcastic, right?

Innerfidelity

Taotronics actually can be good, for some of them. I don't know if those are. The rest should be burned at the stake though.

You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

Attached: basslets.png (753x430, 67K)

cute

It's relatively flat from 200hz to 10kHz, EQ down the bass, add a bit of high treble and you've got something really good.

>EQ down the bass
Basslets, I swear...

A -35dB peak might actually cause audible issues.

That's a skullcandy crusher with the "sub woofer" mode enabled. It measures more reasonably without it enabled although they're still likely shit compared to the usual $100 suggestions.

What's the tube amp with the biggest reported soundstage? I kinda want to try it just to see if it actually does somrthing

>hold my beer

Attached: UAL962_graph_fr.jpg (600x409, 105K)

Those are some of the most useless descriptors holy shit.

Dunno, but an amp shouldn't affect soundstage unless it has audible stereo crosstalk, in which case it would reduce soundstage. An amp can't add soundstage without DSP.

>useless descriptors
That's what Headfonia is best at.
headfonia.com/review-plussound-x8-tri-copper/
>An X8 Tri-Copper [cable] will set you back 1099.99 US Dollars
>Overall there is added body to mids, that gives the presentation more blood and an organic smooth feeling.
>The Tri-Copper has a good constructed and open sound-stage that stretches further into width and depth.

When people say soundstage when it comes to headphones they mean headstage.

Elaborate.

Hoo boy.

Attached: 1956011.jpg (566x250, 70K)

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 23K)

Soundstage typically means to make the sound seem like it is real and coming from the stage and you are in the audience. Part of the difference is the time delay from being able to hear both speakers from both ears. Headphones can't do this so you need head tracking + crossfeed. When people say soundstage when referring to headphones or amps they mean how it colors the recording to give a greater sense of depth / width. It sounds larger and more expansive rather than a very accurate placement of sound in front of you coming from a location.

No one even likes the mysphere because it sounds nothing like the k1000 and doesn't have the crazy stage. It's just a normal headphone. the reason it has bass is because it doesn't have floating speakers
