What are some good web browsers?

Ones that are not in the pic.

A fork of Chrome/ium Canary without the botnet, because it has the best JS engine and HTML/CSS rendering engine.

GNU IceCat

Is there some sort of site that tests which browser runs the best on your machine?

Here's a fun one: at some point in 2018, most likely in mid-to-late march, Chrome started generating hashes of images you view in the browser and sending them to Google. This doesn't happen all the time and on all platforms though, only Windows and Android are affected. It also seems to take the device's processing power, battery level and certain other factors into account when deciding whether or not to hash the images, plus a bit of randomness.

Hope you're not running into any pizza on Jow Forums.

Chrome, Firefox just on low end hardware.

Is Basilisk a very customizable browser?

Attached: 1452497630595.jpg (722x349, 64K)

Luakit is amazing! It's so customizable and satisfying to use. I guess it might not be for everyone but if you understand a little lua then it's the cat's pyjammas.

I like firefox

I'm using suckless' surf and it's actually pretty good, especially if you like minimalism

Use Palemoon or Waterfox, if not, use that browser that Jow Forums did.

Thx.

Use Basilisk the updated PaleMoon

Netrunner

...

While I fully acknowledge that Safari is a far better browser than Chrome, I refuse to use it due solely to the fact that its tabs have no favicons and it has poor extension support.
I'll deal with a single program eating up tons of RAM and being laggy as fuck in exchange for that.
That is all.

Opera

*fist bump* waterfox ftw.

For a strong PC:
Power user: Vivaldi
Mainstream: Chrome
Everything else is useless. No real edge over these two. Firefox killed it main value (extensions) with the new web-engine. Brave doesn't have proper proper extensions. Opera only have VPN as its trademark now.

Low-end pc:
Non-blink engine web browser.

You are retarded. Firefox still has more extensions that chrome cant use. And firefox can use all of chromes extensions. And they keep adding more.

>more extensions
>more control over browser (about:config)
>more UI customization
Yeah... Firefox has no value over chromium-based browsers...

Unironically, Lynx. Jow Forums and a couple of other imageboards are the only HTTP sites I go to, and I use a command-line chan reader than renders the images to ASCII. For everything else, I go on gopherspace sites, usenet groups, and FTP servers. The normies can have their normie internet.

Check the wiki.

>Firefox
It just werks. about:config lets you disable a bunch of garbage Mozilla hides from options. Often has issues w/ Nightly build. Other forks available like Waterfox and Pale Moon.
>Chrome
Botnet-tier but fast on slow PCs. Alternatively run forks like Chromium or Iridium.
>Opera
Chinese botnet tier but a few more options than Chrome. Add-on support.
>IE/Edge
why though
>Safari
Avoid on Windows, if you're on a MacBook consider it because otherwise something like Chrome's going to turn your laptop into a fucking spaceheater.

Meme browsers:
>Brave
Soon to get add-on support, has some sort of shitty coin you can earn for supporting advertisements, built-in ad-blocker if you don't want to install anything.
>GNU IceCat, Basilisk
Jow Forums loves 'em but never used them so try them out?
>TOR
buy-toilet-paper-off-deepweb-markets-tier, claims to be best for privacy but every so often you hear something about "TOR COMPROMISED BY THE GOBBERNMENT" again and again.

in other words just use anything that works best for u

>Chrome
fuck off faggot, you're embarrassing yourself

you're fat and you smell like cheetos

You're this triggered, and I haven't even started talking about unikernel OSs, theorem provers, homotopy type theory, or software specification yet. Enjoy your 400 d0llar porn and vidya machine, you fucking manchild.

Was that really necessary?

Is Opera a good web browser? I'm considering using it.

Define good. If you want privacy and full control than no, it's not good.

Gotten hooked on QuteBrowser recently. Pretty nice since my laptop's got a shitty touchpad.

>owned by a company based in a country where shady business practices are more common
>can't disable data gathering
Have fun

>power user
>cheap chrome knockoff

Tell me more.

Any source on this? I remember one or two threads being derailed with pizza the last two weeks, and i had Jow Forums X set to expand images and auto update the thread. Also, do

do chromium and iridium do this too?

I thought Opera was owned by a norweigan company.

>it just werks

Can't even use the zoom function because of broken text reflow, absolutely 0% of web pages render correctly at the moment on quantum.

Iridium and qutebrowser

Firefox because it has the most features and the best system integration.

More like fagfox

Surf is not botnet.
How anything from suckless.org could be botnet?

how do you get your firefox to look like that?. also what addons?

Chromium/Vivaldi. Firefox quantum is nice too though, would probably use it if it would use kdialog out of the box.

Attached: Screenshot_20180403_131431.png (1366x768, 189K)

Bought by a chinese company

Chrome has the best dev tools. Although Firefox has a better Network tab.
IE is garbage for all time.
Everything else is unsupported.

Uzbl is nice

icecat is good, but it will eventually switch to quantum, so it's not a long term option.
the other problem is the mostly useless preinstalled addons.
Firefox 3.6.28 is surprisingly still very usable with noscript, but if you absolutely must palemoon and basilisk are your best options for xul addons/customizability without the bloat.
qupzilla/falkon are pretty decent, but lack good (ublock) adblocking, and the greasemonkey support isn't 100% which means 4chanx doesn't load half the time.
chomium can't be trusted (proprietary blob fiasco) and even if it could, the tabs/titelbar/csd shit isn't something I can get behind.
basilisk is being used for beta builds of kmeleon which is great if you use reactos/windows
I hope you mean patched presto from source leaks
ancient, insecure, deprecated shit
links2 is preferable, dillo and netsurf at least don't use webcancer

unironically, edge is better than basically everything else I've mentioned. ublock+tampermonkey is all you need.

libre software is shit

It's not ancient or deprecated, it's complete and secure. Webkit is constantly updated.

How is Kmeleon?

Bromite. A good new browser
