Jow Forums hates freedom

what's shitty about arch linux?
seems like the only difference here is linux-libre

>linux-libre
Do you love blobs?

Their hardware might not work with it.
That's pretty much the main difference, as well as blocking all closed-source packages.
They also have an OpenRC install.

I stopped using arch because systemd is cancer

GNU/Parabola support openrc

I guess I could switch to Parabola but I don’t know if it’ll work perfectly with my hardware. I’d use it on open source hardware though

I prefer to use an OS that is capable of actually running on hardware.

I was not aware it existed, I'm also a Linux noob - but interested to use as much liberated software as possible ... but for the purpose of reliability for a while I might have to use closed-source software, can I easily add a repo to it?

Why not Hyperbola? Comes with libressl and grsec by default, and OpenRC.

Meme distro.

>Parabola
When autism is so strong even Arch no longer cuts it

but user. I do.
>unofficial grsec maymay
>libresll maymay
>stability maymay

I'm running Linux on a T420 with a built-in Nvidia Quadro 4200, although it's currently inactive. Is there any point in switching to it from the integrated Intel chip, and if so, what would be the cleanest way? Does it help with CPU temperatures?

Shit wrong thread sorry

Systemd is garbage. I switched to Artix and use runit instead. It's amazing.

So does CloverOS, user.

where do you get the wallpaper?

rolling release doesn't work because nobody tests anything

Can it run on any system requiring the performance I need and expect?

Answer: no.

Isn't blocking non-free an infringement on freedom?

the FSF crowd doesn't believe in that kind of actual freedom. Their definition of "freedom" is entirely based around the idea of forcing code to be "open" via authoritarian iron fist, regardless of the practical implications.
