you lose your warranty, no OTA updates, no samsung pay and also you can't revert to stock bootloader and disable flashing.

My one and only experience with an LG phone was with an Optimus years back. And it was pretty fucking bad- phone slowed to a crawl after 3-4 months of use and then died completely after about 16. My friends' ongoing troubles with their G4s and Nexus 5Xs only reinforce my negative image of them.

Software modifications don't void warranty in almost any country. Besides, warranty is not tied to Samsung but your carrier. And also, warranty is fucking useless. You can pay any shop to fix whatever is wrong with your device. It also lasts 2 years usually, which is exactly when S6 apparently lost the official updates. Nobody said "hey, root your device as soon as you buy it". Root it after your warranty expires.

I got an s5 four years ago, let it upgrade to android 5, removed a bunch of bloat, skipped the "upgrade" to android 6 that probably would have bricked the thing and feel no reason to get anything new aside from the librem 5 and its killswitches.
