Absolutely useless

Only when I miss the Ctrl key

this looks retarded

It can be useful if I have a lot of windows open, and also if I want to move a window to another specific virtual desktop.

>Windows

No

Yes constantly. Do you only have a browser open or something?

Cringe.

Via the short-cut, sure.

I use the hot key constantly but not the button.

For porn

Yes, using Win+Tab. I disable the useless button.

Cringe

No, thanks I just made a bit more space on my taskbar.

+10 internets to you sir.

pape please my dude?

How do you do this in Windows?

Test

>Yes, using Win+Tab.
I have no Windows Key.

sucks for you

>Wanting to tab back and forth between multiple desktops instead of just using a multi-monitor setup

Not completely, I have a very clicky keyboard.

Constantly since I picked up an mx master

>Not using virtual desktops on a multi-monitor setup

that sounds annoying

I quite like the sound of it.

but it's shit if it doesn't have a mod key since it's quite useful. Stop falling into the 40% meme micro penis keyboard.

this could be useful on a small laptop screen, on a desktop looks retarded

Something like it.

No.
Click Winkey+Tab instead and clean up the taskbar by further removing search and action center and such.
You need only one Windows element and that's clock (maybe volume, if you don't use a DAC or a receiver).

I use the keyboard shortcut instead

No.
Even removed the icon.
I avoid using any system tools since win7. I just run totalcommander on startup and do all the job from there. No desktop, no menu start, no windows search, no windows explorer, no windows store, no windows picture viewer.

Just install Everything (dumbest application name ever) and actually find stuff.

Only 10. Win+Tab, New Desktop.

Tilting wms do it better

use virtuawin lmao
a billion times more usable and not restricted to windows 10

If they force this im abandoning ship

abandon ship it's coming next week

>tilting

alt-tab. if your left hand is near the alt key, it's easier.

I haven't fallen for the 40% meme micro penis keyboard. I have a 100% IBM MODEL M.

>What is office
>What is Adobe
>What is autoCAD

Cringe

there's an option to turn off botnet part of it

Attached: 0b805c98.png (2560x1440, 3.63M)

Ugh do we really have to have this argument again

Yes, you fucking liberal

Le Cringe

I don't find this very useful because it shows me the same icons on desktop in all virtual desktops.

I can just simply alt-tab to whatever window I need to use, rather than winkey-tab to another arrangements of windows. Much faster.

They should at least implement those hotkeys that macOS has which allow you to see all currently opened windows in a tiled arrangement, or all opened windows for the currently selected program. At least, that'd be useful.

This basic virtual desktop thing is just not of much use to me.

>using linux == liberal
wrong timeline.
letting microsoft "take the wheel" is the most liberal thing you can do

its for tablets, stupid

What the fuck am I even looking at?

Wow! Are you 12?

>Does anyone even use this?
Windows 10? God, I hope nobody does. It's such a pos.

Of course not. That would be against the global rules

Attached: 1503084327770.jpg (953x780, 75K)

Right up until the update that removes the option, just like every previous time the frogs noticed the water getting warmer.

What is this?

i have it macro'd to my mouse

No, I use hot corner (top left) and win+tab hotkey to bring up task view.
Does anyone know how to bind task view to Win key (instead of start) or some other key without too much pain?

Why would I use virtual desktops when I have 3 monitors

I don't use windows so I don't know, but I imagine it's being used by some people. Though you have a keyboard shortcut for this so it as a button is useless unless you're a grandma.

youtu.be/jV09HpVj4gg?t=1m58s

Is this coming in this month's update?

Yes.

>not using KWin virtual desktops

I use it at work where I'm forced to use Win10.
It isn't too bad for a Microsoft-made thing.

Wow.
Edge, huh?
Fuckin' sweet.
That's my favorite way to fuck up all my bookmarks on the regular.

I click on it occasionally to see all my workspaces. But for the most part I'm just using ctrl + windows key + left or right to slide between workspaces.

Good taste.

Fucking mindless barbarian.

I use it under Windows 10 LTSB and Debian XFCE. Virtual desktops are incredibly useful on both, since I'm using both systems on laptops. On my desktop running Debian only I don't even use it because I have three physical displays.

Attached: 8809f2d15982b5489bd.png (741x609, 18K)

how do you even enable this feature I can't even find it in my windows 10 instance.

What the fuck
Windows 10 had one "neat" feature, the virtual desktops and they removed it for THIS???
What the fuck!!!!
I'm so glad I don't have to deal with this shit

No. "People" can fuck off too, enough poos have my contacts anyway.

That does exist though. Luckily I'm on Ubuntu right now, so I can't try it, and I won't look it up for you.

I like it until some programs inevitably start to follo into the extra desktops. e.g. excel following a win+tab to Vdesk3 where i would have an email client sitting. Makes a potentially great productivity boost feel broken and frustrating...

I didn't have this problem with Ubuntu....

There is no competition between xfwm4 and Windows 10 window manager
First let's start with the pros of Windows 10 window manager
>it has neat animations

Now the pros of xfwm4
>roll up windows
>better, more customizable window shortcuts
>easier and faster to move windows between different workspaces
>alt (or super) + click and drag
>alt (or super) + right click and resize
>alt (or super) + mouse wheel to zoom or change transparency
>window snapping or tiling
>more actions, for example window fill (the workspace panel applet is neat and better than the Windows 10 button for the same feature
>focus on hover mode (

Looks more like Gnome Shell.

Well, they're mostly pieces of software that you don't use. Except for Office. I'd imagine that Powerpoint probably comes in real handy when it comes time to deliver your biannual "State of the Basement" to your shelf full of plastic weeb crap.

I use this also, the windows one is too glitchy.

Yes, but mostly use shortcut keys instead of the button itself

No, because I have two screens.

Never used to, but I started using it at work to make things a bit neater.
>One desktop for research
>A desktop for each project I'm working on
>A desktop for the news I need to keep up with
And I just use ctrl + windows key + directional arrows to move between them.
