I think a ryzen 1700 will be safer. Though a r 1600 should be fine cause pubg is shit optimized apparently.
Pcbg has been dead for awhile so you should wait for later today and try posting again.
I say buy ryzen though because its better for streaming. You can do alil research on YouTube if you wish there is a lot of material on there

I wish I could find good stats on how good the wraith stealth cooler is. I'm kinda poor and might need to upgrade my cpu fan on my 2400g but I don't wanna end up getting something that's not any better.

What Seasonic is that? Is that the M12II? If it is, go for a better model, it's an old group-regulated design.

Better?

Anyone have experience with custom loops? I can’t figure out how to get every drop of water out of the system. I need to put in my second 1080 ti and then fill with coolant so it needs to be completely flushed

Much better, independently regulated PSUs will be much healthier for your components. If you're gaming a 1 or 2TB hard drive would be good to have as secondary storage, but you can always add that later on.

>
Yeah, I forgot to mention I have a 7200RPM 1TB HDD left over from a previous build

I am planning to get myself 4 new case coolers since my current ones are pretty old and loud.
They are nothing special and were included with the case when I bought it.
Do you guys have a cost-effective suggestions?

Building a PC for someone and they had some requirements
>wifi adapter
>specific case
>dvd drive
So beyond those things, how does it look? I won't be ordering anything just yet, but I have a Ryzen and Intel build currently.

Attached: ryzen build2.png (1075x912, 106K)

And this is the Intel one. Thoughts/comments?

Attached: intel build1.png (1068x908, 107K)

Intel build is far better honestly, as someone who thinks AMD and Intel are more or less equal. Either get an i5-8400 if your friend doesnt plan to overclock, or get a 2TB HDD and put the extra money towards getting the DDR4-3200 RAM from the AMD build though. DDR4-2400 is just awful.

Just remember that they don't include tax on the prices.

Looking at getting more HDDs but I can't remember which brands are garbage, anyone got any of the failure rate graphics?

I couldn't find any B360 motherboard that supports RAM above 2666 MHz. wtf is up with that???????? It was so fucking hard to find RAM on the QVL.

I just read about individually regulated PSUs (sorry newfag) and still have one question.
How do I recognize them?
Does the packaging say what they are?
I am asking, because I've never stumbled across this when I bought mine.

I guess getting an X370 board is the safest option, if only for the for the support for better RAM. Here is an updated build with new memory/mobo.

Budget: $1100, already have a 1TB HDD

Thoughts?

The memory isn't on the QVL. I suggest you fix that first and pick something on that list. Here is the QVL for that mobo:
>asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z370M Pro4/index.asp#Memory

Second thing, Noctua coolers are expensive, get something like the Cryorig H7 or another decent tower cooler. You could also find a cheaper SSD, the performance difference across most isn't that significant. Put the extra money into more storage or a better cpu/gpu.

Looking for some more input, I want to upgrade from my current rig and I already have the GPU, PSU and hard drives. Are there any components I should change? Will I have any problems with getting a RX570 in this case? The RAM is 3000 mHz, is there really much of a difference to go to 3200?

And no, I don't care about gaymen performance, my 3570k handles all the games I want to play, I want better multitasking and productivity performance.

I'm new to pc building, I want my computer to last at least 8 or 10 years (I love total war games)

What do you think of my part list?
pcpartpicker.com/list/cszQZR

Check if F4-3200C16 or C14 are cheaper and try to get the Tuf B350M-Plus or the GA-AB350M-Gaming 3. I believe the Focus G Mini will have more airflow and it's cheaper

I'd get a SU650 480GB or a SU800 256GB (bigger but slower than the 850 EVO), a WD Blue, a Focus Plus Gold, a white P400 and this cheaper
pcpartpicker.com/product/qGqbt6/gskill-memory-f43200c16d16gvgb
Gigabyte GPUs should be cheaper too

cheaper kit*

If you get faster RAM it'll downclock it, if you go Intel save up for a Z370

Attached: 1522970028073.png (620x345, 38K)

>memory is on the QVL
>case has 315mm max gpu length (longest rx 570 is 310mm)
>ryzen 7 is good
>mobo seems fine (prices probably different for you)
I would get a different case unless you are dead set on that, it doesn't have good airflow. Something with fans in the front would be an improvement. Someone recommended a Focus G Mini, but if you don't want a window case you should look around.

Yeah, I decided to go with a Z370 board in this post

Thanks a lot!
I was also thinking about picking a cheaper gpu and changing it maybe 2 or 3 years later.
For now just want to play total war warhammer and heavily modded skyrim (with enbs) without any fps problem. Would a 1060 be enough?

No problem, it should be enough
youtube.com/watch?v=h-gYWFfGCJQ

Attached: Warhammer_01.png (1304x1616, 70K)

Consider a Z370XP or a Prime Z370A and a MX300 525GB or a SU800 512GB. The Gaming Plus will limit the OC because of bad VRMs

Or a SU650 480GB if you want to save some money

Made some changes. How about now?

Any thoughts? Is 3200 really worth it, or should I just stay with 2400? May save the money and instead switch to a better, modular PSU + CPU cooler.

>aoc

get the asus vg248-something, or a benq xl2411

Is the Asus MG278Q comparable in quality? I might as well get that size for the price difference.

Sorry I was looking at the wrong one. I meant VG278Q. Long night...

Stick with the 2400 memory, overclock it to 2666 with looser timings. Use the money you save to get a better motherboard. I have the Tomahawk, it overclocks like crap and gets hot so your shitty case won't be good for it. Get a B350 Prime from Asus. And if you have any cash left over get a Hyper 212 Turbo LED.

im not a fan of 1080 27", no point spending up to a hundred extra on a slighyly larger screen imo

asus are good quality from what i know anyway, im having a benq XL2411 being delivered today, you could consider that.

>LED
I was thinking either Cryorig or Noctua. ehy does it oc like crap, bad bios? the b250m from msi is doing well for me, but no oc options ofc.

No it's not a bad BIOS. It's a bad VRM design. That's the Voltage Regulator Module if you're a complete noob. The cooling on this motherboard's MOSFETSs is so poor that when I had it with my 1500X in my previous OEM case with only a single fan for exhaust, the fucking thing couldn't even handle the Ryzen's BOOST CLOCKS in Cinebench without blacking out, let alone a fucking overclock. I literally had to turn Precision Boost OFF in the BIOS just for it to stay stable. Of course once I got my CoolerMaster Masterbox in and stuck three fans on the front it could manage up to a 4Ghz overclock, but I'm pretty sure my 1500X can do more than that and I'm pretty sure those VRMs are regularly hitting the 100C mark at 1.4V full load, which is why I had to dial my OC down to 3.9 so the fucking thing won't die in the space of a year.
TL;DR MSI's VRMs are garbage city and I would not trust them if you're overclocking. And since you're getting a 1600 I assume you're going to hate that.

Cryorig is fine. Noctua is great if you're going for a silent build but otherwise they are hilariously overpriced. I recommended the Turbo LED because I know for a fact it has an easy AM4 mounting mechanism where you don't have to switch out the backplate. I also own it and I know it performs well and comes with a good thermal paste which is important.
I would recommend the Noctua NH-U12s if you had more money but it's like 60 dollars new and that ain't worth it, and the Hyper212 will easily outpace all of Noctua's cheaper offerings.
I don't know if Cryorig makes any good cheap AM4 coolers so make sure whatever you buy is AM4 compatible.

Alright my good person of foreign descent, thanks for the heads up. Ill look into Asus boards. And yes, if I decide to go with Ryzen ill be overcocking for sure, haven't done so since I had my Core2Duo E8400 running 3.8GHz on a trash Gigabyte mobo many years back.
Intel can fuck off with this locked meme.

The PC Mate is fine for a 1600 with a small overclock but for the 1700 I'd get the B350-F Rog Strix, AX370 K5, K7 or Gaming 5 or the more expensive Crosshair VI and this monitor
pcpartpicker.com/product/PmyFf7/acer-monitor-umfg6aab01

What cpu and temps you runningnwitg the 212? Also is the thermal paste pre-applied? Im a sperg when it comes to doing the most basic things, Id probably end up getting thermal paste in the fucking PCI-e slot by accident or something l.

No you get a small tube of fine CoolerMaster paste with it but don't worry it's easy to apply.
At 3.9Ghz on the 1500X with 1.36 volts I never reach 70C, hell even on Aida64 it only goes slightly over 60. It's neato, but don't expect silence, though it's silent enough when idling at 30C. Keep in mind this is Greece we're talking about so the environment temps are always over 20C.

Yeah man no problem.

Hm okay, wasn't aware they had VRM problems so good to know. How's this look?

>Poorzen
>Poozen
OP needs to stop with this shit

8/10 solid build good price on that ADATA SSD and I have the exact same wifi card.
Are you fine with no mass storage? Is that keyboard mechanical?

I'd get the B350-F Rog Strix (£94.92), the NH-U12S SE-AM4 (£54.95) or the Dark Rock Pro 3 (£65.99) and use the 2400MHz until you can afford this
uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/DHPzK8/team-vulcan-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-tlgd416g3000hc16cdc01

Go back to Brazil and/or Israel you monkey-eating kike.

Why did you post this twice?

It's for someone else, I have a feeling they'll want something else but yes that one has Cherry MX Red switches. They also have a large external hard drive and don't need any more storage at the moment.

Money isn't an issue, I just really don't want to spend money on upgrades I don't need.
I never even go over 4GB memory usage, and is 3000 really any better over 2400 for anything outside of gayming? I'd rather get a 1700 and water cooling instead (assuming I'd need it)

It's optimal but you're right, better to spend that money on a 1700. I would get a NH-D15 SE-AM4

Great, they could save some money by getting a Enthoo Pro M but the 460X is good

They are dead set on the white 460X, and it's probably the only thing they can have a say in getting because it's purely for aesthetics, leaving the technical parts up to me. They aren't very tech savvy.

I5-8400 has a RAM limit of
DDR4-2666

Which one should I buy?

Ryzen 5 2400G for £130 ($140)

Ryzen 3 2200G for £100 ($180)

Why the fuck did I write down £100? It's £85 ($120)

Consider the 620 EVO for a little more

Those fucking prices don't look SRP. If the price difference is that tiny, then you're better off going for the 2400G.

I'd get the 2400G if your budget isn't too tight for the extra cores and the wraith spire

Generic question. I have a laptop with i7 4702HQ and GT 750M. I only play Fortnite and use Photoshop. I'm tired of this laptop and want to buy a reasonably priced desktop instead. Suggestions? 750M is not very good at playing games, so something with better performance would be great.

I completely and utterly fucked that entire post up.

Here's a fix:

R5 1600 $197
R5 2400G $178
R3 2200G $120

£140, £127 and £85 respectively.

Look at the CPU usage here, it's not unplayable by any means but it's maxing out
youtube.com/watch?v=_BsgCUbolm4 at 6:30
youtube.com/watch?v=K0cxIRp8Q0g at 7:30

It depends on the budget, if you're getting a 1060 the 1600 is great but if you're limited to getting a 1050ti or something like that it's better to get a 2200G and pair it with a better GPU

>Intel nerds will shill this when it has memory limitations and no multithreading

Does the B150 motherboard support overclocking?
I haven't kept up since Haswell.

Attached: Capture.png (578x205, 16K)

Budget? Do you have a keyboard, mouse and monitor from an old PC?

isnt the 2200G like £75

If you have around £100 to spend, may as well get the 1600 for a little more.

no lmao

I work with an external monitor, mouse and keyboard now, so have all those. Budget would be €400-€500

Is it finally time to move on from my 2500k and grab myself an i5 8600k instead?
Thanks to the whole mining fun I'll probably be stuck with a 770 for the time being, but is there any reason I should hold off on an upgrade for the CPU until then as well?

Great, I'd get one of these

Yeah, the Focus G Mini looks better, I'd actually rather have a window case than not, I'll go with that. Thanks!

2400G or 1600 for home server with VMs and dockers?

Okay, I made something. What do you guys think?

It's £490 (=$690) without the monitor, whereas it's only $620 on the US store, but that's fine.

Here's a link without a monitor, I need advice on that and the other fine details. I'm fine with the iGPU, I'll get a proper one later.

Ryzen 2400G or 1600 for a home server?

It'll be running 1-2 VMs that I can remote into, Dockers of Gitlab, Plex, Web Server. Generally be a development server.

Renting will be much more economically feasible.

No, because the Plex server will have a TV aerial connected so I can stream TV around. Also, there will be a large amount of content I already have, and I don't really want to upload it.

Any news on some company making a case similar to the node 804? I fucking hate these big ass gaym0r towers with fucking LEDs all over the place. I just want a small neat looking box for a shitload of drives.

Aren’t the new Ryzen CPUs supposed to drop very soon?

On the laptop side of things, I am on the fence better the new Core i7-8750H (6 cores @ 2.2 GHz Buy iGPU) and the Core i7-8705G (4 cores @ 3.1 GHz with 4GB Vega GPU).
