Name a better and more iconic text editor

Back in the days, I used Work 4.0 on my based 286 machine.
It did greyscale like no others thank to it's Hercule proprietary standard for displays.

The weird truth is, it does everything MS Office does nowadays.

I get that a handful of people see the whole editor debate and want to be included and yell nonsense like "editors are too confusing, I just want a graphical textfield, notepad/nano is my choice"
