Probably fine, being on the same infrastructure it'll likely be fast enough but chads and Staceys tend to bog down the wifi with social media.

I wouldn't do it, but then again my dorms were a bit sketchy. If it shares local network with uni, it should be pretty alright. I recommend to get a laptop with a 5ghz wifi though, depends on uni though.
