Why does every portable 15" with a decent monitor and a 1050 cost au$3k? It can't be that hard

They would be 2k if the emus didn't kept stealing em.

Nice scapegoat. Its well known that emus are averse to IPS panels

Why do you think they steal em?
Last thing they need is people carrying those things to ward em away.

It's pricing structure

7th gen though

>living in australia
that's why its so expensive my dude, find a better government :^)

Even then that's retardedly expensive. You could get a 980m laptop for the same price a year and a half ago.

funny, i live in brazil and i can get one for less than 1k usd

pascal is significantly better than the 9xxm series of cards

however I wouldn't pay more than 900 tops for a 1050 laptop

True, but even the 970m is way better than the regular 1050 (mobile).

stealing one doesn't count jose

Oh my.

Cause you kangaroo niggers need to pay your reperations for losing the great emu war.

3300 brl ~ 980 usd. and that's from a reputable store that pays taxes. you can probably find it cheaper on the brazilian ebay (mercadolivre)

da jewz.
Huge government import taxes, and no local manufacturers. Is it viable to go on a sex tourism trip to SEA, and pick up a cheap laptop?

The Map cost (new) for all Samsung TV and laptop is Half of the rrp, that's materials and some manufacturer profit already. That is the insane mark up they are making as you spread your ass cheeks wide, so just don't do it. Ask an American friend to get one for you and cover postage.

You have no idea how hard Koreans are jewing the true blues, my friend.

You would Hitler if you really knew

100% markup seems pretty standard user

What do you mean pricing isn't based pretty much at cost? Milton friedman told me that the free market will drop prices!!!

Your 1000rrp laptop cost Samsung 500 with profit.. And you pay 500 more to retailer and Samsung.

Your 4000rrp tv cost Samsung under 2000 with profit.. And you pay 2000 more to retailer and Samsung

Applies to TV, laptop, phone. Due to vertical supply chain.

What is a reasonable markup then? And is that taking into account R&D costs, or are you just cherry picking material costs, and ignoring that?

This one does not and seems quite nice

Depends what kind of world you want. Samsung is like the alcohol sector if it were administered by one company that owned the land and farmers and crop, the recipe for alcohol, owned the ships transporting the stock, owned the brewing and bottling facilities. Their fingers are up everything, and they confuse chaebol with being the best. Not the same.

I would absolutely go for a xaomi if I wasn't playing the lottery with warranty. If anything goes wrong with it you are FUCKED

Welcome to socialism and high minimum wage.

these are produced elsewhere user its got fucked all to do with either. Its just local retailers having a government mates sponsored monopoly

There's a bit more to it than that. I can't speak for other oem, but Samsung actually weighs the pricing to deliver lower USA pricing. So imagine,. $20 value of your Australian or eur purchase folds back to lower the USA price by $20, in hopes to move more USA units.

When USA units move, everything moves.

It's easy to disassemble, just like old Thinkpads. If something breaks I'm going to repair it myself. Only if the GPU should fall I'd be fucked.

And RAM, since it's soldered. I've been looking closely at these, but they don't seem to be immensely better value than other brands, considering the warranty issues.

I don't have that knowledge and skill though user i'd probably just break it further

because the mass market is focused on poorfags that can only afford $700 to spend on a machine. so the better machines are more expensive to make because you can't make as many of them

>monopoly
This + its getting needlessly taxed - import tax , random goy tax , oy vey tax and therefore its getting much more expensive.

Your government taxes incoming goods to pay for the "free" stuff

Lol, good luck finding it for less than 1900AUD

>heavy af
Enjoy weightlifting with this one

Is u srs ?

I saw some gayman laptop with 1070 and a 6183 score on the FF benchmark 1080p for 1778 american dollars
You aussies need to buy a plane ticket and have a trip to Singapore or Malaysia

just buy a second hand alienware or some shit my dudes

No they tax incoming goods so that their retailer mates don't look as bad against foreign pricing (hint: they still do). I regularly get computer hardware from the US for around 60-70% of the local cost includint shipping.

Funny how the US charges less, and also has fuck all social services. I'll take public healthcare and trained police over cheap laptops. Plus no niggers is nice

our taxes do not make the difference on pricing. Its literally just retail markup.
