They could upscale the Polaris.
XboneX has a polaris but bigger, no reason not to release that to the market.
Also the canonical 490/590 flagship place was left vacant probably for Vega.
They could release a Vega 40-something chip with gddr5 and call that 590x

Besides Vega seems to be hardware botched. There are features they promissed and not delivered. Probably some hardware fuck up.
