Tell me Jow Forums,
what Firefox extensions do you use to maximize your privacy?
Tell me Jow Forums,
what Firefox extensions do you use to maximize your privacy?
uBlock Orgin, NoScript.
Is noscript as good as umatrix? I switched a year ago because I didn't like that noscript advertised malware on its homepage.
ublock origin, https everywhere, decentraleyes.
Is privacy badge a meme?
The noscript dev is a fucking sperg. Some long years ago he had a fit and made adblock stop working because it hurt his feelings or some shit like that.
Besides, uMatrix does everything noscript does and more.
Cookie autodelete is good too
uBlock (medium mode)
Decentraleyes
Cookie AutoDelete
Historia
User Agent Switcher
my cock
>Firefox
Is that a joke?
ublock origin,
privacy badhger (EFF)
https everywhere (EFF)
self destructing cookies
next to the named extensions I also use TrackMeNot
WARNING:
Till 2016 there was a super addon called 'Web of Trust' "WOT"
I liked it very much till the day that was clear that they sell your complete browser history!!
news in German:
heise.de
>A bunch of random people clicked the like button for this site? It must be trustworthy
What a stupid addon just from its concept
What do you mean by medium mode?
in my opinion it was a very necessary addon:
It provided the information in an comfy way how trustworthy an unknown website/link to the site is(was)
Superidea; but not when they are stealing and selling our data
>random people clicked the like button
(it is not the facebook like button)
many random people= swarm intelligence
What exactly is the point of this?
It sounds cool to have privacy advise right there but I don't think I've ever seen a site that didn't have "unknown" privacy practices.
i'm also curious to know the answer to this
What am I looking at?
plus, Google search link fix. and maybe CanvasBlocker.
i can read, doesn't answer my question if i truly need it if i have UBO
what means "is a meme" exactly?
privacy badger is a useful addon and not a meme.
(I'm not a native English speaker)
Explain me, if you like.
i want to know if i have a reason to download privacy badger if i already have ublock origin
I use both.
My dangerous halfknowledge:
ublockorigin blocks the ads
badger blocks the tracking components
"Privacy Badger is a browser add-on that stops advertisers and other third-party trackers from secretly tracking where you go and what pages you look at on the web. If an advertiser seems to be tracking you across multiple websites without your permission, Privacy Badger automatically blocks that advertiser from loading any more content in your browser. "

No, not if you block scripts.
You don't need auto cookie delete or historia if you just edit your firefox config
This may be inaccurate since they dropped quantum but Netflix broke when you turned off all history. Cancer though that may be, addons like that may be an adequate work-around.
chrome
privacy badger is a bit bad, it relies on consensus at the eff about who is using cookies for bad things
it's ok if you don't want to bother with umatrix cookie options
uBlock
Decentraleyes
Cookie AutoDelete
User Agent Switcher
uMatrix
Firefox Containers (for all sites that that i remember cookies from)
>Netflix
uMatrix
Ublock Origin, Umatrix and httpseverywhere.
uBlock Origin in advanced mode, with nearly all lists enabled
HTTPS Everywhere
Decentraleyes
Multi-Account Containers
If I had more patience to set things up, I might also use uMatrix and some Greasemonkey equivalent, but I've never really needed them.
uBlock Origin can also block trackers if you subscribe to the right lists.
I use Waterfox.
>Greentext, no reaction
>being this new
>implying I haven't been here over a decade
Jow Forums never recommended that addon
>requires access to every website you visit
>privacy
The real joke is ur lyf. Pls off urself.
Is uMatrix hard to use for a noob?
I just use uBlock Origin, smart https (everywhere eats too much ram) and privacy badger
Should I consider adding uMatrix to the combo or does it replace any of these? (Or all of em)?
Stop using uMatrix with uBlock Origin at the same time it's so fucking useless. Just use the last one and it will be enough.
NoScript became bullshit when updating to WebExtension.
Use uBlock Origin in hard mode.
umatrix is not hard to understand at all but it's more tedious to manage imo and personally I find it unnecessary.
unnecessary with ublock origin that is
Stop shilling your shitty botnet addon.
>Please be aware that Google Analytics is considered first-party by Privacy Badger, which means that Google Analytics will not be blocked if you do not use another blocker, such as uBlock Origin.
So what the fuck does it do?
Does enabling more lists on ublock generate some conflicts or reduce performances on firefox?
nope, you just have to disable, enable individual categories per website, its customizable shit
for example, CSS/JS/Media/XHR per (sub)domain
really click and unlclick thatsit
>implying I haven't been here over a decade
>Franxxshit
Found the newfag
It hasn't caused any conflicts for me, and I'm not noticing any real performance impact on a C2D. Just don't enable anything called "experimental".
uBlock Origin, uMatrix, Smart HTTPS (it's better than HTTPS Everywhere). NoScript still has some utility, because it does clickjacking and XSS protection that uMatrix doesn't necessarily do, but it's not strictly necessary.
What's different from greasmonkey, tampermonkey, violentmonkey? What's better?
Firefox can't precisely replace the functionality of either addon.
github.com
I used uborigin and umatrix but now on 4chin this happens. Can't even upload images even though I've enabled every 1st party Jow Forums domain

Nice bait. Oldfags trying to pass as newfags only to bump their threads are the worse. You don't deserve my (you)
