try to set up Windows XP Virtual Machine to play games from the mid-2000s
Why not just download it on your host OS and transfer it to your virtual machine?
>unsupported OS is unsupported
well who could've guessed
USB flash drive will be your friend.
isn't it easier to set up DOSBox-X + Win95/98?
> connecting your vm running an insecure os to the internet at all
What the fuck are you thinking!?
Just use a fucking emulator, retard
What mid-2000s games are you playing that need a VM? Most everything from that era should still work to some degress on Win10 and Win7.
Bullshit, I've set up a vm with windows xp about a week ago, and I could download firefox from mozilla.org.
If you're using it to play games, why do you even need Firefox?
ftp in command promp you mongoloid
>drinking ruskii standart
>ever
Dude come on - for not much money you can buy Stolichnaya or Khlebniy Dar.
Yeah, the TLS stuff in XP is too old/insecure to connect to most modern sites. That just be how it is.
just use wine
>enable all protocols in IE settings (SSL, TLS and stuff)
>startpage.com>index of firefox>52
here you go
For half that you can get Kirkland Signature top shelf, or if you're just blasting mixies, you can get KS Low Octane for 10$.
He's probably thinking he can roll it back to whatever point he wants if it gets infected. Also what infections is he going to get from mozilla?

Anything that can find its way in through a security hole. Or anything that exploits latent vulnerabilities in XP itself (bypassing the browser) or piggybacks on whatever shitware he’s downloading. Point is, a games VM doesn’t need an Internet connection. I’ve run my XP-based VM fine without networking for the better part of a decade. Internet-facing stuff should be done on the host, period.
>he doesn't play oldies directly on myabandonware
this
only Putinka, only hardcore.
