Fuck 16:9

why can't we have 3:2 laptops?

any reason at all for your preference (or making this thread)?

What purpose would it serve you anus. All widescreen content is in 16:9 anyway.

Because they're inferior to 16:10

who the fuck cares about tablets

It's called a surface book
But incase you are wondering why we don't have 3:2 or anything that isn't 16:9 on 90% of laptops it's because nearly all laptops are commodity products made with commodity hardware and 16:9 panels are a very common and cheap

it's called a microsoft surface.

i think the 3:2 ratio is better for
>working with documents
>reading most websites
>reading my terminal

because it has more vertical space

laptops

overpriced disposable laptops

me like moobies
me not like blank space

>"I want 3:2 Laptops!"
>Oh, here's some options
>"I-I-I-I-I-I-I MEAN GUUD ONES!"

Fucking entitled children, holy shit.
Go pay 20x what you should for a fucking QXGA T60 off ebay so you can have your meme juice.

>16:9
>16:10
>no 2:1

why?

>2:1
>not 4:2.0
pleb

My old laptop was 3:2, I prefer 4:3

>widescreen content
Laptops can be used for other things than just media consumption.

>surface book
Oh wow that looks nice. I wish they made a ThinkPad with this aspect ratio.

According to Paul Thurrott, Lenovo is trying to source more 3:2 displays for future ThinkPads. There's still hope - the Chromebook Pixel and Surface Book paved the way.

Some of us use our computers for more things than shitposting on Jow Forums and watching anime

They could still have produced 4:3 laptops, according to him, but nobody just make 3:2 or 4:3 displays at acceptable quantities for acceptable price (I think they are just too greedy to stop buying cheap chink displays, or it's at least half of the truth)
